Old India in Bristol

Very rude staff member (his colleague was visibly embarrassed at how unpleasant he was). Food comes slowly. It’s a shame because the food’s great and the building is amazing, but when service is actively unpleasant instead it’s hard to ignore it and concentrate on the food.

Very interesting location, Old stock exchange. Food was good and service friendly and efficient. It was a bit cold in the restaurant though, mind you it was a cold day.

The place is cozy, a little bit cramped, good environment, the staffs were polite and the food was amazing.However, the restaurant needs to work a lot on hygiene (we encountered the way they clean the glasses) and our food took almost an hour to arrive and was told it’s taking time because we dint book the table (but we had already booked the table with the proof). The service needs to be highly improved.

Been coming here for 18 years. Incredible cooking of the highest order. The chef always surprises me with his recommendation. They have a good selection of vegan dishes too. I was offered a Bagar-e-began cooked vegan version with coconut milk and tamarind sauce absolutely faultless! Highly recommend this place. Oh yes they also have speakeasy bar in the basement.

I had my birthday party here on Saturday with my boyfriend. We came down from Devon. The building reminds you of Harrods, The architecture is just wow! We had the most amazing meal. I loved the Scollops and Lamb shanks. To top it off the manager came around and offered me a complimentary dessert and a cocktail for my birthday :) We are definitely gonna come back to this place next time we're in Bristol again.

The place is nice the food is really good. The waiter helped us choose our dishes and we were extremely happy with itFirst time, we were 14 and the experience was good, the staff did their best to ensure a good experience for us. Second time, I went with a couple of friends who came to discover Bristol. They LOVED itThe only thing to keep in mind however, is that it was difficult for our disabled friend to access (he is in wheelchair). And again the staff tried to help.

I went there with my friend for the second time… food tasted good . Staff is very nice as well this restaurant gives good vibes because all of there good staff.. we are definitely visiting again soon…

Really warm and friendly staff. Great variety of dishes for vegetarians. Really tasty. This is the 2nd time we have been here and it never disappoints. Lovely atmosphere.

Me and my girlfriend are visiting Bristol for a weekend away for her 21st Birthday and we just happened to walk past this place. Absolutely fantastic food and very friendly service, would definitely recommend to anyone passing by!

+8801911301065 not pay. My 18 year old daughter is moving to Austin to attend UT so we needed an apartment locating service to help find an off-campus place for her that is safe and close to campus. I saw this apartment locating business and saw a review about the manager Rich Chilleri being a woman abuser. I have to say I didn’t believe it at first, so I hired a firm to check this guy out. Turns out its true. His real name is Charles Richard Chilleri and he was found guilty by a court for impeding the breathing of a woman, and also has drug charges. It’s unconscionable that any business would hire such a person. They obviously didn’t do their due diligence on their employee or they would have found out. Who knows, maybe they don’t care that he abused women, maybe they condone and support that kind of crime. As for me and my daughter, I found another locating service that I don’t have to worry about sending my daughter to. Who knows what a person like that is still capable of. Plenty of other apartment locators in Austin so it wasn’t hard to find another one. In this day and age you can never be too careful.
