Red Light in Bristol

Cool place, well hidden (look for the Scarlet Lantern) and nice cocktails! Friendly welcome when we arrived, and nice quiet booths to sit in. The cocktails on the menu were fun, but they were also happy to make off-menu classics too.

We really liked the decor and the feel of being in a basement with the curved ceiling. The staff were very at tentative but the let down were the cocktails. They were extremely strong and just not pleasant to drink. They would benefit from a couple of long mixer cocktails on the menu.

Underground bar that's definitely an experience. Drinks were on point 👌 They don't serve any food, but their snacks are delicious.

Great atmosphere, excellent staff, wide range, not insanely expensive (which i find these places often are).

Local crafted drink selection is great. Craft drinks are pre-batched so no need to alter. But the bar staff is well equipped to sort out your request. Our drinks were great!

This place was so disappointing! We sat down and no one came to take our order for at least 30 minutes.We then went to the bar to order and they said we should go back to the table as it was table service - did not seem like it…The male staff was rude and demeaning towards the female staff and everyone just kept going to the bathroom and falling over themselves. Odd and not pleasant.The decor was nice at the front but less so at the back…Overall, disappointing!

A 5 star place through and through! If you’re looking an all around great night, look no further. The vibe is wonderful, and the decor is stunning! More importantly though the menu of cocktails is unbelievably good, every drink I have tried was delicious and well priced. There is even a great range of low/non alc cocktails. The staff are all so friendly, so knowledgeable, and always happy to talk through the drinks to find you the perfect fit. Plus the atmosphere is lovely and with great music. I honestly can’t rate this place highly enough!

I don't understand this placeThere's a door that's open but your told to ring the gold phone in the doorway that nobody answered so we walked in to find nobody there to greet us for our reservation.First room is quirky with a bed in it, but then the further 2 rooms have seating like a cafe??Stand back when you use the gents sink, the tap water is so powerful is splashes water over you!Cocktails are £10 and lager is £5 for a small can (served in a can).Sadly we won't be returning.

Went to have a drink on a quiet night and were waiting over 20 mins to get served. Also the owner was so drunk and rude to us we ended up leaving. Don't waste your time here. There are a lot of other better cocktails places nearby.

Fab bar! Liked it as Red Light, LOVE IT as Scarlet Lantern. Really creative selection of cocktails on menu and the team are more than happy to make something off menu to your fancy!
