Stoke Bishop Fish Bar in Bristol

Ordered here last night, bought and paid for a Large haddock and chips, but when I got home found that they'd only cooked me a small haddock. The food is nice here and it should be considering the extortionate prices, but the staff here are really snobby and up themselves. If you want to pay loads of £ to be served by dopey young stuck up donuts who get your order wrong, then you're in the right place.

Best fish and chips in Bristol. Fact.Tasty, chunky fish. Batter is lovely and not over greasy.Chips are delicious. Portions are very generous.

Used to come here a lot. I visited to get some fish and chips.I found the young staff very rude and unfriendly. We walked into the empty shop, waiting to make an order, then one of the staff called in someone who was waiting outside.They then, without even acknowledging me before hand, told me to get out of the shop as there were "too many people inside", even though I had been in there waiting to order.The prices were very steep, I used to not mind the expensive price, but at least the staff used to be nice. Very dissatisfied with the whole experience in this store and will not visit again any time soon.

The food wasn't the best. Fish and chips cooked in oil which did not seem fresh. The price was dearer than I am used to and there was a lack of care in putting the food in packaging as the boxes weren't assembled correctly so fell apart when I got home. I won't return but is ok if you have no choice, otherwise its the Star chippy in Southmead is much better, bigger and cheaper.

Great fish and chips , good size portions. loved the fact they were open early as I had finished work early and it was a great friday treat .a little on the pricey side but these days you have to pay for quality.

The most delicious fish and chips I've had. And curry sauce! Super friendly service and very efficient especially in light of current restrictions.

The fish and chips are of a high quality, light batter perfectly cooked.The que however was huge, reassuring in many ways.But what it really indicated that they haven't quite got the lockdown service right.Trying to take orders from the street, telephone and one of the Uber Eats etc. Leaving those in the que waiting as I did over 45mins to buy a bag of chips.

I was slightly disappointed no scratch that very disappointed. After seeing a sign stating they were one of the top 100 in the UK I thought I was in for a treat. Except the chips were dry and the fish had become soggy somehow I guess as it wasn't allowed to drain after frying? I am not sure but for the price tag I was utterly disappointed and cursed myself for falling into its trap. It's strange as the food I got before was marvellous, this was dire and didn't even finish...The service has helped my rating big time!
