No longer a cider pub, but a lovely place to relax after a walk in Blaise Castle Estate... I enjoyed my hot chocolate and my companion liked the selection of local beers. Clean and comfy. Fascinating painting of "St Blaise" on the wall - lovely addition to our awareness of local history!

On Christmas Day it was decided with my 2 nephews & family that we descend on the refurbished Blaise Inn for lunch today. Well known to all of us from the late 70's as my sister moved in opposite the pub with her then young family....I moved in to what is now Louise & Ians' cottage. After 30+ years we witnessed many changes so, obviously we needed to see it now! Peter, Nicola, Ian & Louise have certainly turned it around! Beautifully transformed and the garden will be great when the weather improves! We were warmly greeted by very attentive staff and had the choice of many beers (including tasters) and other drinks. Now to the menu....very different perhaps from what one may expect from a local village pub. We decided to avoid copying each other and therefore chose either the steak or the seared salmon...the pheasant bubble & squeak croquette or the seared halloumi etc. All beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. Normally I veer away from desserts but had to try the poached pear with ginger cream (yummie!)....the others had either the hazelnut meringue or sticky toffee pudding!Apparently, Louise & Ian were having their first day off since opening in early December but don't worry, whoever was working in the kitchen did an absolutely sterling job!Until I can get back to my own restaurant in India (thanks Covid!), I'll be back to The Blaise! Well done....excellent! Thank you!

The Blaise inn is a warm and welcoming pub, the staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are clean and the pub has a nice spacious garden!

A refined menu, nice atmosphere, would definitely come back

Decent local pub, haven't tried the food but small selection of ales was fairly good. Pub was cosy and beer garden has lots of benches, but no grass or view.

Very nice all round. Impeccable service, delicious food, great selection of drinks, including real ales from Bristol and surrounding areas. Good non-alcoholic options as well including Big drop beer. Meals were very good, went 3 courses and all were very delicious. Staff are lovely. It's separated into restaurant and bar areas and will be using both in future without doubt as luckily it's close by.

Really enjoyed my visit to the new and improved Blaise Inn. I thought the quality of food was fantastic, and I really enjoyed my main course and dessert. They also have a great selection of drinks to choose from. As a big dessert fan, I would hope in the future that they might add more to the presentation of the desserts.I will definitely return. Thank you.

Reopened with new chef. The food is good and reasonably priced for the quality. The decor needs a bit of personalisation ....it's been done to a nice standard but looks a bit anonymous at the moment. The staff were lovely and we will definitely be back

A long overdue transformation to our local pub. It's doing everything well, real ale was in good condition and music from a good sound system. Judging by the laughter we could coming from the restaurant people were enjoying their meals as well. We would have joined them but already it was fully booked!
