The Crown , J.W. Basset Pub in Bristol

Good options for drinks at a reasonable price and open late on a weekday

It is what it is.. a busy, noisy City Pub perfectly placed. Watched the Rugby, great atmposhere, prices reasonable, toilets a bit of a trek though.

It used to be relaxed rock /metal pub, now under new owner it became another woke establishment, not to mention the most tacky and cheap decor... It's embarrassing

Terrible customer service, clueless rude bar staff and poor management. The whole experience put a downer on our evening. Definitely have zero interest in returning, plenty of pubs in Bristol with better standards of service.Disappointing as The Crown use to be our go to pub but it's definitely gone down hill and one things for sure we won't be waisting our money or time here again

Lost its charm now its a bit too much of trying to cater to everyone and in doing so alienated those who are looking for that special place. It's now like a second mother's ruin. Focusing on being a trendy pub instead of a good pub

Love the new renovations. It's a giant space downstairs that was great fun to explore for it's club night.

What the hell is this? 2022… what kind of place the crown become, I always ten to have a good time with metal music and now it's a lame place to have a drink and the music are chooseen by manager, dude get a proper taste!

Great staff decent drink selection Amazing atmosphere

Never have I ever had a table full of drinks chucked out before, all because we were out smoking. We weren’t even gone for 10 minutes. The manager then refused apologise or acknowledge his mistake and told us to buy more drinks. I spent £10 on two drinks to just get them thrown away :(

Manager needs to learn some people skills. I would reccomend she is certain on the law before refusing service for breaches of it. If she did that she would learn that it is perfectly legal to use someone else's debit card with their permission. Unbelievably rude woman. Everyone else was nice though.
