Such a welcoming pub! Joined the locals to watch the rugby and the lovely owner brings out complimentary sausage and chip butties at half time !! Sitting here feeling so happy that proper English pubs still exist. Community and care! Top pub.

I love this place. My new Autumn evening favourite spot.If you like quiet, relaxed, out of the way little country feel pubs, this one's for you.Subtle chilled ambient music in the background.A phenomenal looking menu (not yet sampled but will do very soon), a simple yet cosy interior with woodburner, rustic and comfortable tables and seating, pleasant and friendly staff, and you can even play a game of who's who with the many gorgeous prints of Movie Stars from the Golden era hung on the walls throughout.Feels a bit like stepping back in time into a more comfortable and less stressed bygone age. Also has a nice, partly covered, garden area with heaters. Too cold to try this though....brrrr!!

Very pleasant atmosphere, nice food and prompt service. This was our first Pub Lunch since the start of the Lockdown, we will be returning.

Nice, warm, cosy pub. Not huge but ample tables. Advise to book weekend evenings, also if groups of 4 or more.Good varied menu and acceptable prices.Seniors menu lunchtimes which is adequate for the smaller appetite and good quality but the larger menu is also available.Lunchtime 12-2.30

Friendly and relaxed atmosphere and good food. The leek and potato soup was especially tasty (platter cleared) and the gammon crispy without being burnt. A pleasant and reasonably priced night out.
