First time I been in this pub for 40 years, has been extended at the rear since I was last there. Pleasant enough pub but £28 for four drinks, two pints and two doubles was a bit harsh, so it'll be at least another 40 years before I go back!

Very clean and spacious. Had a dinner at the pub which was lovely. The only thing that let's it down is no breakfast. They do not even offer a cold option.

Booked in for overnight stay. Unfortunately food and breakfast are not available currently on a Monday and Tuesday. Bedrooms are excellent. Modern, very clean, and very well appointed. Pub side has excellent range of beers and real ales. Staff are very nice and helpful.

What a warm and friendly welcome we received when we first went into the Wellington and the strong customer service continued throughout our stay. However, we didn’t realise there was no breakfasts available and no food on a Monday and Tuesday evening and the website now still does not clarify this, in my opinion. That said, the location was great, with a very regular bus service to the city centre very close by.A nice room with a really good shower and no noise from the nearby road we’re another reason for still going with four stars after the disappointment of no food.A special thank you to Tobias who helped sort out our frustrations and help to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Great weekend stay, comfortable room, lovely en-suite, sadly no breakfast available. Hard working, helpful staff who looked after us very well. Good food & friendly atmosphere :-)

Booked the hotel 2 days prior to a tuesday night stay. Immediately got an email asking if I would like to book a table for an evening meal. I said yes please. Following email stated the kitchen was closed Mondays and Tuesdays, I asked and this also meant there would be no breakfast for me on the Wednesday morning, nothing stated this during the booking, was told, lots of cafes nearby.Check in was ok. Very narrow stairway to average room. Lots of mold in the shower room on the ceiling. The pub itself did sell good ales, however the sign outside did say food served all day. A few people came in and asked and were told, kitchen closed. Maybe the sign should be updated.....All in all not a very pleasant stay and not worth £100.

Bar staff were incredibly friendly, and service was excellent! The atmosphere is nice and along with the friendly service makes for a very welcoming pub! I had Cajun Chicken here which was very enjoyable and a good portion. My room here was also nice; clean, comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a good shower! Overall a very positive experience!

Really nice pub for a relaxing drink and chat with my friends. Nice atmosphere with friendly customer service. Reasonably priced. Pub does food. Small car park and disabled access. Covid-19 restrictions are in place. Toilets are available and on ground floor. Recommend this place to visit

Really nice pub, big interior, plenty of space to eat and drink. Friendly service and tasty food. We ordered the beef burger and fish and chips, both excellent, especially the burger. My only criticism for the fish and chips was a little over salted for me. Was also a bit of a shame there was a lone drunk guy talking to himself at the bar ruining the atmosphere.

Lovely pub, lovely atmosphere and despite the reduced menu (at the moment) lots of choice and the fish and scampi meals were large, extremely well cooked and definitely tasty. Service was also extremely good. Will definitely go again.
