Just went to son of steak’s and really disappointed T-bone steak dry and chewy almost choked on it the onion burnt couldn’t eat, kids didn’t wanted salad on there plate but was forced to order it,as the deal would not work. Payed 87£ for 2 adults and 3 kids and came hungry out.the portion are very small for the price very disappointed

What a terrible experience, feels like a school canteen only worse. We booked in advance and were really looking forward to it.When we arrived it was mostly empty but still with dirty, uncleared tables and we were immediately told a number of things were off the menu. Fair enough. We then ordered, a Rib Eye and a large fillet. Both were cheap cuts and not as described. The fillet was actually two small ones that were so rubbery, they would have kept the dog entertained for days. The sides had been incinerated, the Onion loaf was more like what they managed to scrape out of the pan, the peppercorn sauce looked like dirty dishwasher, was the same consistency.Everything either tasted burnt or tasted of nothing, bland isn't the word.Service was terrible, struggled to even pay. We were never asked how it was, never checked on when the food arrived. Hugely disappointing, avoid at all costs.Cheltenham has loads of great places, this is not one.

The service was lovely, really friendly staff and attentive etc. However, the food was very poor, especially for the price. I had an £18 ribeye steak, asked for it to be cooked medium as a ribeye should have lots of nice marbling to melt etc, and the steak was chewy, tough and well overcooked.Unfortunately I wouldn't be back due to the food quality.

Great place! We came in with the kids (three under 5's) and it was perfect, the menu choices were spot on, the food was decent and the staff were great - we were really well looked after. Thank you!

Fantastic service and meal, we both had the iron steak, cooked perfectly. Jenna was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be going back.

I'm not quite sure how others had bad experiences here. The food was delicious, certainly not overpriced, and the service was perfect. I can certainly recommend the flat iron steak, a gorgeous cut of meat cooked and seasoned perfectly. Really enjoyed the crispy onion loaf too. Can happily recommend coming here.

Ordered via Deliveroo. Was really looking forward to it as the menu is good. Unfortunately as is often the way with delivered food, you end up spending £30-40 on something you could've cooked far better yourself (or cooked it really badly yourself but then console yourself that it didn't cost £40). Steak Godfather burger was charred to within an inch of its life losing any real flavour apart from burnt meat. Mac and cheese - paid £4 for a paltry amount. Chicken wings - lovely dip but again, really overcooked. Real shame.
