Bhoomi in Cheltenham

I went for a Friday lunch with friends and we chose Bhoomi Kitchen because I had heard good things about their Oxford location. I had the Butter Chicken Thali that made a great lunch. High quality and interesting to boot. Easy to book and friendly helpful staff. A perfect venue.

One of my favourite places to eat. Have visited a few times and always absolutely amazing. Beautiful food and lovely restaurant. Highly recommend.

Great lunch experience. Warm welcome and opportunity to talk about the food and requirements with helpful staff. We chose the thali and were very impressed with the various dishes. Everything was also nicely presented, the environment is relaxing and the music was at just the right level. The quality of the desserts was also outstanding and they were not overly sweet which I particularly appreciated. Shame we live so far away as we would definitely be back soon otherwise.

There is no greater compliment to pay to this restaurant than it is the best I have visited in Cheltenham. The food, service and overall experience is second to none. Highly recommend.

We had the most amazing time at Bhoomi Kitchen. A really memorable night! The food was absolutely delicious and a real experience. The cocktails were incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed trying their new inventions. The staff are what truly make this place special, they were so friendly & accommodating. Even when I spilt my drink, they were so quick to act and seamlessly cleared everything away and refreshed my glass. We felt like old friends by the time we left. We will absolutely be back again in the future. Thank you

Booked a table recently for my twin daughter’s 16th. I ordered them alcoholic cocktails. However when I ordered for my 17 year son, the waitress asked me for his ID!!!! By law, 16/17 year Olds should be allowed to be served alcohol if accompanied by an adult. My thoughts on this was why allow me to order for my 16 year old twins and not my 17 year old. They didn’t even ask for their ID!! When challenged, their response was that they have the right to refuse any alcohol. To this end when my husband arrived, he ordered alcohol for my son. There was absolutely no need for this waitress to have taken this stance on the situation.Reference to the food, it was pretty average and most of it lacked salt. I have had better curries elsewhere in the West Midlands for a fraction of the price.

We went there for Valentine's day. It's a really nice and welcoming restaurant. The food was amazing and the wine pairing was perfect. Worth going backWent back recently as I was tops it was more of an Indian tapas place. However I wouldn't class it as that. They do small plates for the starters but the mains are standard. But everything is very good. Great decor and great service. I would always say it's worth trying.I would like it if they had more tapas available so you could just order lots of various tapas for a group .Update Decemeber 2021, we have had takeaway from Bhoomi about 4 times over various different lockdowns and we loved it. The butter chicken is my favourite.We decided to go for a Friday lunch and they do a lunchtime special Thali, which is a variety of different flavours in one serving and at a low cost. I loved it! Definitely worth trying. I always try the chicken wings as I like to rank what are the best chicken wings in Cheltenham! The bbq butter chicken wings are outstanding!Also please try the date and almond naan. In my view the best naan ever!

Would give it 3.5 if I could. It wasn’t bad, but we weren’t wowed. The two vegan mains were small for the price, and very similar in flavour. We would’ve appreciate some diversity between them.Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were gentle and attentive and ensured our 8 month old was catered for. We requested vegetables without salt and they went out of their way to accommodate this. The food was delicious, flavourable and the meal we ordered was an easy and fuss free way to sample a variety of what Bhoomi had to offer. The meats melted in the mouth and the flavours were so distinctive that each bite left us commenting on how nice the dishes were. We are looking forward to our next meal there. The only negative was that they was no baby changing facilities.

It's South Indian Kerala cusine, blended to the English taste.. Small portion with Good Quality, served by excellent waiters & waitress.. Good price and do reserve ur table before u come.. No allocated parkings.. My verdict- Drop in if ur not a foodie..
