Ordered from Deliveroo and received raw chicken. Completely unacceptable. Avoid if possible

Whenever I come back to Cheltenham I always have to visit Charles Takeway after 40 years of being a customer. I hope old Charles is still going well and supervising the youngsters.Before I enter the shop after a 5 year break Charles's nephew has a giant piece of haddock ready to drop into the fryer without asking. Cooked to perfection as always and I stand at the end of counter pigging out.Great place and everyone works hard to please a diverse group of clients, drunk or sober.Drooling at the mouth thinking about fish and chips.The only placd to match Charles Takeaway is the Shanghai Brewery, Shanghai where a chef from Birmingham serves up delicious cod and chips with Filipina waitresses and a micro brewery too.

Excellent chips and the best battered fish I know of without driving north for 5 hours. Very tasty. Friendly service and good value, just a shame I don't live locally or I would eat from there more often.

A must visit legendary take away in Cheltenham. I had the most amazing and tasty home made falafel and the freshest salad. A family run and own shop, never fails to deliver when it comes to taste, quality and prices. Friendly and attentive staff, fast service and always spotless clean. I can't recommend enough!

Possibly the best fast food place in the whole of Cheltenham. I have been using 'Charlies' for over 20 years. I think it is amazing. The staff have to put up with a lot of very intoxicated and do so with a smile. This is by far the most inclusive and friendly chip shop take away in town. The food is always excellent and a good selection. Cheers guys!

Family run chippy and all who work their are lovely! They always greet you like an old friend. The food is brilliant, by far the best chippy in Cheltenham in my opinion. The portions are very generous so great value for money and all good quality produce. Alway use Charles chippy :)
