First visit to this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed Lovely food cooked to perfection and welcoming attentive staff. We will certainly return. Thank you

Would not return. A real shame, as the decor and restaurant looks lovely. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best and the staff require a lot more training. Our starters of chicken skewers and prawns were very basic and bland, as were the truffle fries and roasted vegetables. At every opportunity there was a blatant attempt to upsell items, lacking class in an otherwise nice environment. The staff were not knowledgable about the menu, and service felt very rushed with the waiter handing us the bill before our glasses of wine were even empty. The duck leg main was probably the only redeeming quality about this restaurant.

4.5 really.7.00 PM on a Wednesday eveIt was just us two, and another couple. We arrived promptly and I was shown to the table of our choice.I am not a big eater, so we only had starters and main course. This restaurant seems to specialise in fish, though there are a few other options such as duck, or steak. One thing I had noticed before was the “accent on side dishes”, but not on addition to the main item. That said to me that we would be needing side dishes, and I was right. But to the starter, crab meat, which was presented as if it had sat in the dishes that are normally used to provide tomato sauce, so not a lot, and a little garnish, and toasted bread. It was very tasty, and well presented.Main course I ordered the Bream, note there is only sea bream, not bream from the river, so it’s just Bream. Same with Bass (not sea bass). Beautifully cooked, and the sides of truffle chips and mushrooms (in a cream sauce). TBH I thought the mushrooms were tinned, not fresh, but they had flavour. The truffle chips (which were french fries), I couldn’t taste the truffle, sad really. I’ve had truffle chips, and they are to die for.Waiter was good, though I would say he checked the main meal too promptly, not giving us time to check the various. But in all a great meal (hey, I wasn’t paying). A little steep, but if you want McDonalds prices, then go to McDonalds. I think the meal was worthy of the price.

Things started so well: a warm welcome from the waiter, attractive surroundings and nice ambience. The food was also fantastic with beautiful presentation. So why two stars you may ask? What spoilt the experience was the service: The restaurant was not busy and the waiter had not warned us of any delays to expect. However, we waited a very long time for both starters and mains. The main dishes arrived several minutes apart for different guests- this is what you would expect in a tapas restaurant; not an establishment which is clearly aiming for a more upmarket clientele. To top it off, there was a hair in one of the dishes. Although an alternative dish was provided, no offer of a reduction in the bill or a complimentary item was made. The dirty plates were never cleared and a 'swap' that was made for the vegetable side was charged for. This could have been an amazing, 5 star experience but was sadly let down by the poor service. We know that the hospitality industry is struggling to find sufficient resources due to the impact of Brexit etc, however I do not feel that this excuse can be used here.

Finding this restaurant by chance we were glad we'd not gone anywhere else. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely amazing. The steak was perfect and the desserts were delicious. We enjoyed not only a lovely meal and drinks (cocktails at this restaurant are a must) we had a lovely chat with Ash the owner. Here we felt welcome and relaxed and it definitely felt as though nothing was too much trouble. You receive a warm welcome and a friendly set of faces.Definitely when visiting Cheltenham again this restaurant will become our go to place.Absolutely awesome!

Amazing food, brilliant service, clean and covid compliant. Only issue was the hand drier didn't work so you either had soggy hands or had to use toilet roll to dry them! We enjoyed our first meal out and would recommend.
