Hour and half waiting for food and curry wasn’t good

The restaurant was rammed and we sat upstairs on the bigger tables it's also bring your own alcohol. Some of the group bought soft drinks which we were told not to be left on the tables! I assume this is because the restaurant sells soft drinks.The curry was fine but I did find there was a lot of sauce and onions in the dish. There were no complaints from the group about the dishes in all a pleasant meal.

Very noisy on a Friday night and a constant stream of people going in and out to smoke. One meal was good, the other indifferent. The upside is being able to take your drink of choice and the bill.

Nice and clean restaurant, good menu and good value for money. BYO works well. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this venue - well worth another visit.

Good food, excellent service and BYO. What's not to love?

Baltiwala were super helpful when we had to organise a socially restricted bday event for my husband a couple of weeks ago.We were down from London and they went out of their way to make our visit to their restaurant easy and comfortable.Food style was altered to suit our needs.We had the whole 1st floor allocated to us for our guests.A waiter was allocated to us for the whole evening. And we were noisy!Let us decorate for the event and byob worked a treat.Thoroughly recommend for the food and support by Moomin and his team!!Thanks Baltiwala!

The best thing about the meal was the poppadoms. If you enjoy overpriced microwaved curries then fill your boots but if you prefer a fresh hot and edible curry run away from this place as fast as you can. Meat was very dry and tough, sauce was extremely watery, thin and tasteless. Naan bread is served in a plastic container you’d expect to find in a children’s soft play area. Social distancing was poor and covid guidelines were not adhered too. Having worked in the industry for over 10 years I hate complaining but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had and when we politely told the manager that it wasn’t good he was not interested. Poor customer service, poor food, stay away.

I have lived in the UK nearly for 11 years. This is the worst food I have ever had in a curry house. This is also the first time I had to write such a poor review. I went in personally and requested that my food be prepared with a bit more kick, rather than ordering online or over the phone. The packing was haphazard too. As the food spilled all over the bag. I have never seen any other curry house pack the food in such a bad way. Overall a very disappointing experience. I was so looking forward to the food after pondering over the menu for atleast 3-4 weeks.I would give it a miss. Surprisingly the place was almost fully occupied. Half a 🌟!
