Outstanding place! Very few are the restaurants these days in which you will get your food prepared and served by the owners, food looks, smells, and tastes very good. The only negative I can think of is the fact that they are fully booked so often.

Lovely place. Attentive staff, the new waitress was lovely and the Italian owner was exceptional, knowing instinctively when we needed anything. Not in our faces, but very professional. Service excellent! Reasonably priced and varied menu and authentic Italian food. Vegetarian options too.We were only in Cheltenham for 2 nights but chose to return for another meal on our second night instead of looking for another place that we knew wouldn't have matched.Would highly recommend.

I absolutely loved it. I now have a favorite restaurant. Keep up the hard work guys the Cannelloni, House Red, and profiteroles in a chocolate sauce is an amazing combo. The environment is up beat with a talkative atmosphere. My only two issues would be the entrance, as it's a little cramped and awkward, although it wouldn't be a problem in the summer and my friend, in jest, mentioned being "flash banged" by the kitchen door. However that would only speak more toward the well thought out lighting and ambience of the quaint restaurant.I felt I had to mention those very minor problems, but that should by no means drive people away. Easily a 5 star review from me. Once you get seated in the restaurant, I found the place to have a cheerful and amazing glow to it from the authentic Italian to the older and modern mix aesthetic.I can't wait to try something I have never tried before on the menu next time.

It must be 20 years since I’d been to this great restaurant. The service was top notch and the I cannot remember having a better steak. I won’t be leaving it another 20 years.

We had our Christmas dinner with colleagues from work and it was an absolute perfect night. From starter to dessert, the food was amazing, so tasty, so fresh, hot and the portions were very generous. The staff was very friendly and the serving was fast as well. It was first time dinning at this restaurant, but we will surely come back. Highly recommend!

One of my favourite restaurants in Cheltenham. The owners are lovely and you really feel like you could be in Italy when you're there. Also the lunch pasta menu is amazing value and so tasty! A million times better than all the chain restaurants you get these days.

Absolutely beautiful food. Unfortunately my little boy dropped poorly not long after getting there so couldn't enjoy as much as we wanted to. But was absolutely amazing food. We are from West Yorkshire and was visiting down there, we couldn't get booked in to a local pub for food with the rest of our family as they didn't have a table bigger than 4, we drove to another place as we was told on the phone they take walk ins, to get there and be told they don't and have no spaces. Driving around we googled Italian and found this little gem of a place. Rang up and they got us in straight away. We are very specific with our Italian, we only go to one Italian over by ourselves and have not found any other that beats it or tastes up to their standard, but this place did. It was absolutely gorgeous!!

A great italian restaurant overall. Very affordable dishes that will definely keep you full (we had pasta). The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

It has been so long since our last visit at Gianni’s but yesterday night we finally managed to go back. The menu offers a wide choice of dishes: pasta, chicken, veal, amazing fillets and fish. We had one of the starters on the Specials board, the fried courgette flowers, but also the mix of fried seafood, then we opted for two fillets and a profiterole to share as dessert.Would definitely recommend and hopefully we’ll be back sooner this time!
