Golden Mountain in Cheltenham

Got the curry ramen set for takeaway and it was awesome! Great portions for the soup and they gave generous amounts of pork cuts as well. The dumplings were incredible!

Went here on the evening of the 16 Feb 2022. Decided to go for the buffet choice . We sat down and were given prawn crackers.To start we had 2 dishes each and we shared. Then we had crispy duck for our second course then our main we chose 4 dishes. They are cooked to order and to suit the number of diners. Eg....a dish of garlic king prawns will include 4 king prawns to share between 2. Its ideal.The food was great but unfortunately my noodles had been burnt and the taste affected the whole dish.It’s such a shame the restaurant is so grubby. The walls...the floor...the woodwork everything is grubby. Don’t even get me talking about the toilets. Unfortunately I had an upset tummy while there and had to use the toilets 3 times. They are down in the bowels of Cheltenham sewers.....well that’s what it smells like (more so now after my tummy upset). It’s gloomy damp and stinks. It’s dirty....I mean really dirty.For the clean reason alone I will not be returning which is a shame as the food was nice.Incidentally......I’m not sure my tummy upset had anything to do with the restaurant or not so I’m not laying any blame anywhere.

Just enjoyed beef in black bean sauce with noodles. Arrived piping hot and on time. Delivery lady was very polite and friendly. A generous portion. Beef was so tender. Noodles were great. Highly recommended. I will definitely order this again. Delicious. Thank you.

I ordered chicken noodle soup, easy, yes!?It was delivered, cost £8+!On opening plastic box, I found noodles & noodles & a little chicken & mushrooms, but NO soup!I rang them & was screamed at by a mad woman, 'YOU ORDERED CHICKEN CHOW MIEN'!'No I didn't,' 'Yes you did'! On & on she screamed!Well as I'm not really sure what chicken chow mien is, I certainly didn't order it.Does it have egg & bean sprouts in? well mine didn't, just tons of noodles & no soup...So I will be coming back to get a refund...Has any one else had this problem? as I think this lady is in the wrong job...The owner may be a bit apathetic, as I spoke to him, but not much response..

Such a shame!!!!Food was lovely.Ruined by are host when we arrived and sat down to be told we can't have the buffet dew to it being a race day. Fair enough so we ordered from the set menu.Only to have a table of 4 race goers next to us saying if we don't have the buffet we will be leaving.And they were told they could, I'm sorry but you treat everyone that comes through your door with the same respect. No one should have special treatment no matter what. And when questioned we were lied to, saying "they haven't" when we were sat right next to them and could here her whispering to not say anything.Sad to say they have lost two customers and many friends and family members that won't be going either.

Had a really good experience, met some work colleagues who I've not seen for about 12 years for a sit in meal, the food was amazing which was served as a 3 course meal. Brilliant service aswell. We all had an amazing night. Will definitely be back in the near future 👍

Defo not as nice as jasmine house I go too jasmine house every week but with it being closed today, I went here and got delivery, was on time and good portions but defo not as nice as I would of wanted it meat didint seem as cooked as I'd like and parts was little crunchy the singapoor chow main leaves a dry after taste too. Won't order from here again wish I'd got a burger or summit now.

It's a family run business and the owner is very frendly..... he's cooking for you like for a real house guest. Best noodles ever, the Szechuan chicken amazing.Strongly recommended
