Highwayman inn in Cheltenham

An absolutely delicious meal. Staff very friendly and even went the extra mile to swap part of a dish for a different option. Lovely surroundings and atmosphere. Def recommend

We went to the Highwayman again today this time for the Sunday Roast (we had enjoyed 2 during the week meals) and we were not disappointed. The roast was really good with lots of veg served separately and a choice of 4 different meats = Good choice of puddings that were delicious - The staff are always friendly and helpful - This has now become our favourite place to eat. Lovely old pub with super food and very welcoming staff. Our dogs enjoyed their visit too!

Just popped in for the Sunday Roast as it was recommended by a friend. Overall a really nice meal that was reasonably priced.The roast pork itself was lovely as was the chicken, only minor flaw was the potatoes were bit tough as was some of the veg...But, overall, we all left very happy people, full to the brim, especially after the chocolate fudge cakes we had for dessert.It was also noteable how friendly, polite and helpful the staff were. It is about 20 minute drive from where I live, but we would have no hesitation in going back..

I had a lunch here today from the Christmas menu . Fabulous hearty food with generous proportions all prepared , cooked and presentedto perfection….The staff are really friendly and the pub itself is very cosy and inviting .Easy to get to , loads of parking and to be honest I can’t wait to go again.

Food was delicious and really lovely friendly people. Freezing cold day, log fires were lit and beautiful Christmas decorations, was perfect! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely pub with exceptionally friendly welcoming stuff but the food let it down, the Sunday roast especially. Small things would have bought it up like cutting the potatoes so they were small enough that the edges got crispy instead of the boiled bricks we had. The stuffing was out of a box and my crackling was the size of my thumb nail which was a shame.

I've wanted to stop and eat here several times but never seemed to get the chance so we decided to drive over. We had such a warm welcome and everyone was very friendly, we were told the history of the Inn which was really interesting. The food was delicious and we'll definitely go back...looking forward to booking a Sunday lunch.

Lived in Cirencester area for some 40 yrs and never visited this pub until last Friday lunchtime.What a lovely surprise, excellent "pub grub", same with range of beers/spirits.Of equal important , all the staff were very friendly , helpful and efficient. Well worth the visit, just a pity we so long to realize what was on our doorstep. Suggest you pop in their soonest.

We enjoyed our visit to The Highwayman Inn, the gentleman who served us at the bar is very professional, polite and friendly. The lady who bought our food out to us was as professional, polite and friendly.They ensured our needs were met. The only reason I haven't rated higher was the batter on my fish wasn't as crispy as it should have been, to the point of being a bit soggy as it cooled.Unfortunately the lady who bought our food to our table (outside in the lovely garden) didn't return to find out if we were happy with our meals.I'd like to return just to see if this was a one off event (we ordered our food just before afternoon closing time (15:50).
