L'artisan in Cheltenham

Had the lunch menu and was excellent. Lovely touch having two free tasters and homemade bread. Made very welcome. Highly recommended.

It was my first experience with French cuisine and it wasn't disappointing. Good quality and fantastic tasting food.

I tried to book a table at l’Artisan literally for years, but every time there was a special occasion they were unfortunately closed or some other problem occurred.So this time I decided to pick a random day just to go and finally try this restaurant and I’m so glad I did it.The ambiance was nice, candles on the table, everything looked really elegant, the only downside is that it’s a tiny place so tables are quite close to each other.I had the ravioli as a starter, followed by the duo of duck, while my partner had the scallops and the beef fillet. Honestly the starter where amazing to see but I felt like my ravioli were missing something, maybe they were a bit too delicate in flavour. But the highlight of the dinner was definitely the duck, it was simply amazing and I loved every single bit of it.For dessert we ordered a cheeseboard and the chef’s special, the Horsechoux, which is available in different flavours and is in the shape of a horseshoe to represent the town of Cheltenham.I loved our meal from beginning to end and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful lunch, from the amuse bouche , to the spinach and veal raviole, to the pork loin stew. Absolutely wonderful. Service was superb, will definitely come again!!

We had a fantastic meal here. Service and hospitality was first class and will always be our first choice when in Cheltenham.

Wow. The reviews and posts about this restaurant are bang on. Wonderful food, excellent wine list, brilliant service and unbelievably well priced for the quality. It is exceptional.

Almost unassuming from the outside, but don't let that fool you. The whole experience is excellent! Everything was perfect. The service was stellar and the staff are friendly. The food was absolutely tasty - every course was a delight. The flavours were great and well balanced. It made for an amazing evening.

A lovely restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, flavour & presentation, out of this world. The staff were professional and really friendly. My wife and I will certainly be dining here again. The chef coming out and talking to us after our meal made the whole experience quite personal, a great touch. Compliments to all at L’Artisan, we were celebrating our 10th year anniversary and my wife absolutely loved the evening.

Beautiful food aside what a lovely owner. It speaks volumes when one of the take away memories was the quality of service and social interactions.This is a proper French restaurant. All the staff members mother tongue is French. A healthy number of the clientele were French too, which speaks volumes for the quality of the adopted cuisine.The food was excellent, an amuse bouche was followed by seasonal mussels and one of prettiest, and delicate desserts I’ve had the pleasure of eating.An enjoyable French experience in Cheltenham. Why head to France? Make sure you book well in advance.
