Merryfellow Inn in Cheltenham

Recently moved to Charlton Kings and discovered the Merry. Great food, excellent carvery and great atmosphere with a cool darts area.

Good food, portion size, service, and atmosphere, but expensive. Would still go again.

Beer choice is getting better and it looks nice inside. Prices also very good. Need a couple more beer choices I would say. Slightly ruined by a group of guys shouting and swearing at the football on TV, even when there were young kids around and they weren't told to drop the swearing. However, I guess there's not much the staff can do about that and it's not their fault, plus I did decide to go in there when a match was on so can't complain too much. Also there might be a lack of seating as there's now a darts room where tables used to be. If somebody is in there playing, there's not much room to sit. Overall, decent pub.

Should have been a lovely pie but mine was so overcooked it was very difficult to cut the pastry and was burnt inside. When I mentioned this to the waiter all I got was a shrug of the shoulders 🤔

Lovely carvery for a good price. Kids loved the place. We rang a booked on the day. Staff and landlord were really good. Wheelchair friendly.

The good news is they can pour a proper pint of Guinness. Plus there's a place to sit on a Friday night.

Went here following a funeral. Staff were really friendly and it felt safe with the current covid issues. Nice buffet supplied and a fabulous selection of gins! Think the current owners / management haven't been their long hope they do well

Friendly new staff. Burgers are very tasty. Nice new lager. Lovely little beer garden. Very clean.

Great food. Bacon double cheeseburger was very good the bacon dust made it superb. Wife had a pie which was lovely in her words. Good service. Had a laugh with the staff

Fantastic Sunday roasts. Carvery is brilliant. They also cater well for children with very good prices. There is a lovely garden with great furniture outside.
