Milk Bar in Cheltenham

Best coffee in the neighbourhood by far! Their food is always delicious - speaking to the chefs it turns out they have worked at some of Melbourne's best known restaurants. I recommend the big breakfast on a cold Saturday morning.

Ordered the Slow-cooked Lamb Sandwich for pickup (via DoorDash) between 12:05>12:10pm. At 11:28am I received a text saying it was ready for pickup. Huh?? I couldn't pickup then as I was in a meeting, so when I did finally pickup at 12:06pm everything was stone cold. 5 mins to home, the whole meal had to be microwaved to be edible.Chips are run of the mill shoe-string fries - nothing spectacular. Lamb sandwich - bread was (as expected) soft and soggy . Lamb was nicely slow-cooked, tender however could have had a bit more seasoning to it. "Slaw, siracha, kew pie mayo" was lacking in flavour across all condiments.For a lunchtime lamb sandwich costing $22, one would expect it to be fresh, well toasted with zingy flavours and cooked just prior to pickup to ensure freshness. In this regard they failed on most fronts so 3/5 for me. The establishment itself looks quite nice (my 1st visit) so next time I'll prop down at a table and see how they fair minus the takeaway and see if I can come to an agreement with all the other 5 star reviews.

Good food, nice extras options and interesting menu. Cosy interior which is not too noisy like some can be. Staff friendly and courteous and reasonably attentive. Nice outdoor seating which is dog friendly also, great parking.

had this lovely young lady Paris serve me and the service was unbelievable. will definitely back after seeing how great and careful she was. awesome experience

This is a fabulous spot for a gorgeous well sized and tasty breakfast, lunch or dinner in any season. They have an adorable fire place inside where you can have a cosy chai or coffee with friends and more seating and a beautiful pink wall out the back. Great for taking those Insta worthy shots.The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming and did I mention they hire out the space for parties and events and do amazing cocktails.Thanks, I'll definitely be back again and again.

I frequent "The Parlor" as often as I can - great breakfast, good atmosphere and staff. Great parking directly outside. When the weather is suitable its nice to sit on the deck, often blankets and heaters are provided as well.

Nice decor and staff were nice and polite.Coffee was average. However, food was way below par though.Baked eggs were rubbery, oily and lacked flavour. It was like they just dumped a can of 4 bean mix, canned tomatoes and chorizos in a pan and let it cook through.Corn fritters tasted like raw flour.

As usual, super friendly and helpful staff, tasty food and great atmosphere. Plenty of space inside and out to dine, with inside being near a fireplace to further enhance the experience. Great menu choices are complimented by great drink choices (milkshakes included!). Definitely give these guys a whirl, you won't regret it.

Had the baked eggs and steak sandwich here which wasn't really good. But when I turn around and look at what others have ordered. I must have thought this isn't my day. Everyone else's food look amazing!It's a great place to hang. Awesome bright natural lights with a nice outdoor dining area. I will come back again. That's for sure.Came back to this place and had the French toast. Awesome stuff!

Great lunch. As per food always delicious. Staff attentive and friendly. Had the best Calamari Salad. Normally have the Sweetcorn Fritters which are delicious. Something sweet, try the French Toast.
