Norwood Arms in Cheltenham

Went for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. We were taken to our pre booked table and not long afterwards our order was taken. A few minutes after our order was taken we were advised there was a 45 minute wait for food. As we had ordered we decided to stay, but had we been advised up front we would not. After waiting for almost an hour we were advised that there was a delay as the chefs were new but that they could cook. We were offered a free drink but asked if the ones we had could be free as we did not want any more. When the food did come it was obvious that the chefs could not cook or struggled as they were new. We were not charged for our meals, which we could not eat as it was cold and congealed. What a shame we were not advised of the wait when we arrived, we would not have stayed and maybe returned another time for, hopefully, a better experience.

I'd give 5 stars for the great variety of Drinks they have here. And 4 Stars for the food. It's not Michelin Star. But then it's not expensive. Reasonable food at a reasonable price. Service was great and the staff polite and friendly.

Really friendly staff. Very welcoming. However even if you go for a healthy dish you can taste grease and a lot of salt . If you're not eating though , highly recommend it

Took the kids out for dinner, didn't need to book too far in advance. Plenty of room for my wheelchair. Decent food? Nice atmosphere. One of our favourite pubs. Especially in the summer when you can enjoy the beer garden.

Best lamb shank ever had. We love this pub so cosy n comfortable. Drinks cheap food cheap and very good! Been here multiple times and will keep returning! Also the pie my girlfriend says is the best 🖖🏻

Went for a meal with my Sister and Nephew. Had Fish Tacos for Starters, and Steak and Kidney Pie, Mash and Greens for Main. Food was Fantastic, three Happy people. Friendly, Helpful Staff. Will definitely go there again.

In the area visiting family over the New Year. Gave this place a go on advice of family. Good to see a local pub busy and a great atmosphere on New Years Day. We had chicken thighs and a sharing platter and a few beers, service was excellent and staff were welcoming. Overall a good few hours spent in good company, will definitely return when back in the area.

What a great place! Really nice atmosphere! Food was incredible! We went to the pub quiz which was a good laugh, definitely recommend! Service was great our waitress Immi was really helpful!

I discovered this place about 3 weeks ago and have visited 6 times since, just cant stay away, I have tried several different dishes on the menu, all excellent and reasonably priced. Very comfortable, warm environment and friendly staff especially Fleur who has frequently been our hostess. Definitely 5* and will recommend to all :)
