Prithvi Restaurant in Cheltenham

Our party of 3 visited Privthi for the first time on Thursday evening and we were all incredibly impressed by the overall experience. It feels intimate and the service was impeccable. We chose the tasting menu which included 6 courses and each course was as delicious as the last (it's rare that we can't pick a favourite course). The staff made you feel welcome and looked after, delivering the perfect amount of attention which allowed us to completely relax. It does get booked up quite far in advance if you want a weekend reservation but it was worth the wait in this case. I have decided to go back for my 30th birthday celebration in a few months time and we intend to try out the bar upstairs for pre-dinner drinks. We will be eager to return!

Visited for the second time and what an experience from start to finish!... Service is of the highest standard and food is simply out of this world.. Can't wait to go again..

Perfect experience, food absolutely amazing, service is spot on (our glasses were not empty for longer than a minute), very thoughtful extra touches eg. place to put bag for ladies. I can only recommend! Thank you!

Genuinely one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. We’ve eaten at some wonderful restaurants in London and elsewhere but we adore everything about Prithvi. The combination of flavours at Prithvi is something to behold - the perfect blend of Indian flavours with Cotswold produce. Jay, despite being the owner, has time for every guest and the sommelier, Elliott, is highly knowledgable - the wine pairing with the tasting menu was perfectly done. The entire team is phenomenal - thank you for another wonderful evening and hope to make it over again soon from London!

I have in many Michelin and top rated restaurants in the world. Some great and some not so (except for the bill at the end).This restaurant blew me away. The food was simply excellent. Loved all the dishes. The staff were friendly and professional. The manager was something else. Couldn’t decide between the duck or scallops… i chose the duck and he brings the scallops anyway. Toping up the wine etc… suffice to say he was simply exemplary. Can’t wait to go back. My new favourite restaurant in cheltenham.

Food was outstanding, a taste sensation in every course. Bit of delay for our reserved table, but management were apologetic and provided cocktails as a gesture. Would definitely visit again.

Nice Indian food, the service in general was good. We decided to try the tasting menu... Portions, you do get small portions in tasting menus but you end up satisfied, I was still hungry after those tiny courses. As I said the food was nice but to be honest the lamp and the deer were tasteless, the rest of the menu just lovely

Amazing restaurant for special occasions or if you just like to enjoy very good food. Reservations are almost compulsory but you're in for a treat. Prices however are accordingly but then again if you still remember what you ate a year from now who is going to complain. Come on :-)

We went on a Tuesday evening based on reviews and the website.Utterly truly amazing.The staff and the service is exceptional. Everything is done in the right order and at a perfect pace......your table is for you for the evening. You’re given the cocktail menu first and nothing comes until you’ve finished you’re cocktail/aperitif, then everything else is timed perfectly. A little wait between a couple of courses but perfection takes time and believe me you don’t mind being there for several hours!The food is I would say is Michelin star standard (having eaten in numerous star restaurants).We were staying in Cheltenham for two nights and managed to get a table for the following night too......!!!!😊We’ve been to Cinnamon club, Dishoom, Gunpowder etc but this was better.
