Nice food, good selection of drinks and great atmosphere. There are many different spots to choose to sit in, be it inside or outside; each has its own feel to it. There are quueter and livlier spots to choose from, both inside and out. It is in a good location just on the edge of town, so good transport options available whilst being close to shops and other pubs/clubs should you wish to move on. The back garden backs onto a main public carpark, handy for those drivers or as a good drop-off/pick-up spot. The masala chips are a huge winner. They do a traditional Sunday roast until 6pm and then revert back to their Indian inspired menu in the evening until 9pm on a Sunday. I didn't inquire about the rest of the week. The facilities were also clean and tidy. All in all, a lovely few hours spent here catching up with friends.

Had two pints and a curry here. Very impressed. Good selection of beers, and curry was fantastic. Bar service was good - helpful and cheery staff (something you rarely get in UK I think). I would come again for sure.

Delicious Thailand food in this very nice pub with a lot of beers to enjoy, and a nice beer garden.White wine was good also (if you dislike beer... Strange idea ;))

The staff are absolutely lovely! Good deals on food on a Monday but they had sadly run out of basically everything we wanted to order. Food is delicious, but the chicken on the bone in the butter chicken really was pretty much just bone, very little meat on it at all. Would be much better if it was done off the bone so it was easier to eat and you got a decent amount of protein.Would still come back, because the food tastes great

We had a roast here, really good food, the gravy, meat and vegan roasts were all fantastic! Definitely recommend. Also a great selection of ales and good wine list too. It wasn't too busy when we came, but service was great. Overall, nice cosy, friendly pub with great food. Order at the bar service, but better than going somewhere pretentious.

Walked in without reservation for my Sunday Roast and a nice staff was there friendly to took my order. This restaurant has a big openair terrace at the back and plenty of seats in and out just perfect! My roast beef was super big potion, 3 slices of thick beef! It was nice and really enjoy eating in this place.

The Swan certainly has been one of the best places to go for a pint over the past few years, but it's also now a great place to go for delicious food as well. It's been an awesome place that's adapted to the outdoor restrictions and their covered garden with hear lamps is a great place to visit. The landlord genuinely cares about showcasing craft beers - you can find Deya, Lost & Grounded, Moor and Arbor all on draft to name but a few.Staff are always attentive and friendly - they're also super welcoming of dogs. The pub is very dog friendly in general. The Dilliwala kitchen is knocking out stunning Indian street food flavours - try their chaat!

I've been to The Swan a few times and during Covid it has changed slightly. At the stat of Covid they only allowed people to sit outside and you ordered your drinks when you come in, then pick them up at the next window.I went yesterday and now half of the inside is open. It's a really nice beer garden and definitely worth trying.

We drove down to Cheltenham from Birmingham to spend a Sunday afternoon. We had a little pup with us so we Googled dog friendly restaurants and happened to stumble across The Swan. We rang them and were politely informed that they were VERY dog friendly, that no reservations were required and that they didn’t do a Sunday roast. That suited us just fine. When we got there, we ordered the fish koliwada pakora, the kurkuri bhindi okra, the samosa chaat, the murg makhani butter chicken curry and the goat meat curry. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The butter chicken was just a tad sweeter than we would have preferred but, to be fair, it is meant to be a sweeter dish and the kids absolutely loved it. The okra and the samosa chaat were the best we’ve ever tasted anywhere in the U.K. Most restaurants in Birmingham masquerade as Indian but are actually managed and run by Bangladeshis and this is very evident from the taste of the food they serve. When it comes to authenticity, The Swan is as authentically Indian as they come. The only minor negative we could possibly find (if we wanted to be absolutely brutal) was the fact that the only beer they serve are local brews. Other than that, the food was divine and the service was outstanding and we will definitely be driving down to Cheltenham again just to pay them another visit.
