Only stayed for one night but was very impressed with the place. Room was small for the price but was immaculately clean and included everything we needed. All the staff, especially the young guy behind the bar, were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Excellent road connectivity from the hotel to multiple west Hampshire and east Dorset holiday locations and the New Forest area. Well laid out room and the dining area. Our room was south facing which was brilliant! Friendly staff and a good selection of breakfast. Good value for money. We were very pleased to have chosen this hotel for our 3 day visit to the area.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Found this hotel very welcoming. The friendly staff are very helpful and attentive (Sarah and Kirstie stood out). Well presented facilities with spotless rooms and comfortable beds. Food is wholesome and good value. Will come back again.

Very friendly staff. Lovely room with plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Really liked the cold flask to keep the milk fresh rather than the usual fiddly plastic cartons. Great location for visiting the many attractions in the area. Liked the layout of the bar and restaurant and the railway memorabilia on display. My only slight comment would be that we had dinner there, and whilst our drinks order was quickly taken with the drinks being served very quickly, we waited for half an hour but no one came to take our order for dinner and so we ordered it at the bar. We had noticed others arriving after us were however served quite quickly. Apart from that minor issue we enjoyed our stay there very much. We would happily recommend the hotel to anyone thinking of visiting the area and look forward to staying there in the future.

Great staff, very accommodating. Had run out of some food, not great but can't be helped I guess.Best burger I've ever had but ruined with imitation thin fries... Would easily be 5 stars with proper chips and maybe salad or something to at least not leave it looking so sad and lonely on the plate

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the Avon Causeway pub. We ordered a Sea Bass main from the Specials Board and the food was well presented, with a delicious combination of flavours. The staff were polite, helpful and friendly, which added to our enjoyment of the evening. We will definitely be returning soon.

Stayed three nights over the New Year period 2021 in room 1 and can say the experience was excellent.Staff were friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The premises is an old railway station and they have their own steam train and carriages ( doesn’t move but adds to the experience)The accommodation suited us down to the grown and was dog friendly which is always an added bonus when you travel with your dog.The bedrooms were kitted out with everything you could possible need to add to your stay.Food was lovely and on New Years Eve the menu was changed for the special occasion and you had a selection of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts, the food was superb, as it was for the other 2 nights on the normal menu.We cannot fault our stay and had a very enjoyable time

We had a lovely stay at the Avon Causeway and took our dog. The room we had was lovely, clean and big enough for us all. Lovely touches like treats for the dog and the dogs own breakfast the next morning were great! Great location for a long enough walk along the railway when we got there to tire the dog out before dinner. The dog loved it! Human breakfast was lovely too and we ate dinner there the night before, which was also very good. We (dog included) cant wait to stay again soon.
