Captains Club Hotel & Restaurant in Christchurch

We had a baby shower afternoon tea here. It was amazing. Great service, great fun and a really nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend

My self and my daughter have just spent two nights at Captains Club Hotel, this will be our second time. The location is amazing, we would never tire from overlooking the river Stour in our lovely room. Breakfast and dinner were great and good value . We also used the spa and enjoyed the experience.The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you , we will definitely come again .

Have been to the Captains Club a few times now and had excellent service from Lois, Sally (waiter) so decided to venture away from my normal conference hotel booking and give the Captains Club a chance. Well I am very happy that I did as everything was fantastic. Perfect setting for the conference room for my delegates and extremely well managed by Sam who was in and out unobtrusively to ensure everything was going according to plan. The delegates left happy (and informed) and extremely well fed. The breakfast provided was excellent and the lunch buffet was of very good quality and variety .Overall an excellent venue with good service so I would definitely be booking again. Thank you.

Great place to meet for a coffee or lunch/dinner. Little above average food and drink prices, but excellent quality and friendly, efficient service. Situated right on the river, the view from the restaurant and outside seating area is really lovely. You now have to pay to park in the hotel’s car park (£2 for 3 hours) but there is a public car park a very short stroll from the back of the hotel (£1 for 2 hours). The place is often very busy, especially in the lounge area where you can sit with friends etc., for a coffee. Staff are extremely helpful, though, in finding you a place to sit.

We came for my granddaughter's 21st birthday lunch. The serving staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous and catered for all types of diet. From baby to grown ups. Would highly recommend it.

Unable to celebrate our Ruby Wedding due to covid last year I searched the internet for somewhere nice to stay and found this hotel, from the moment we walked in we were not disappointed. Our room overlooked the river and was clean and spacious. All of the staff from Housekeeping, Front of House, Spa, Restaurant and bar were friendly and helpful. We choose to eat in the restaurant on both nights and were not disappointed with the choice or standard of food served, and the breakfast was excellent. After leaving the hotel we received a phone call to say my husband had left the remote control for his radio under his pillow despite thinking we had checked everywhere and they offered to post it back but we were able to return and pick it up. We had a wonderful stay here and have already looked into returning later in the year, I would highly recommend this hotel!!

We stopped here for a bite to eat as the restaurant was highly recommended. The place is very nice, clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was nice. Unfortunately, not the taste sensation we had hoped for. We will return and try something else from the menu. Hopefully, it will be better.

Visiting for my wife's 70th birthday with 11 family members. Staff were brilliant. Everything done to accommodate us ,especially as I have an alcohol allergy. All the food was wonderful. My wife had a marvellous birthday meal along with the family. Thank you very much to everyone for everything.

This is just what a hotel should be. Where to begin..really helpful efficient staff, vibrant atmosphere, superb food, interesting wine list, lovely riverside setting, near the town. Beautifully thought out rooms with river views excellent spa...a really relaxing and enjoyable stay and (once again in capitals!) fabulous staff.

A family member had a special birthday today which she celebrated at The Captains Club where we often attend, sadly I couldn't attend so arranged for gifts to be laid out and for a cake to be brought out following the meal.Sadly, accidents happen and the cake was forgotten, HOWEVER, when I contacted them later today they profusely apologised and arranged for the cake to be personally delivered to her home, lit with candles and whilst singing.This service is beyond imaginable and despite the weather, Nikki and Annie (members of staff), without hesitation offered the gruelling task of taking the cake and singing happy birthday to her at her home (which is a considerable distance away). I couldn't be any more grateful for this and I actually believe makes her day that little bit more special. I couldn't be any more grateful and despite the mistake (which happens in life - and to note, very rarely at this establishment), I cannot recommend it enough. Incredible service, food was wonderful and the venue itself is beautiful. Customer service like this is why businesses flourish. Thank you The Captains Club.
