This is the perfect location for a cuppa and cake or even a bacon roll to start your day off Food good service good and its clean my dog loves the stop off. Just a shame it closes so early on the summer evenings. Saw at least five couples walk up to the cafe this afternoon whilst I was sat expecting to find it open So make sure you check opening times before you put your money in the car park machine

Purchased a cream tea for my adopted daughter and her husband to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary Thank you so much for making it really special for them They loved the atmosphere and the food and service was brilliant Must come back and have another one myself

I celebrated my 70th birthday, with my family and friends, in the Tea Room, which they closed to the public for our function. From the moment we met Sally, the Manager and caterer in the Tea room, she could not have been more helpful and suggested how we could make the afternoon even better than we anticipated, getting excited for us! We had a delicious buffet lunch and sumptuous Afternoon Cream Tea. The staff were attentive, polite and friendly. All our guests were highly impressed and we had a wonderful time. We felt spoilt and pampered by the staff! Thank you!

Only came because friend bought us vouchers - been dissapointed before and no better this time - walked an hour to get lunch - arrived 2.30pm and they were bringing out lunches - got to till was told kitchen normally open to 3pm but now closed as they had to deal with a delivery - couldnt even pop a sausage roll in the microwave - all they had was 4 bits of cake plus pre-wrapped stuff - would have loved some warm dorset apple cake with cream but all gone and didnt offer to get another one out - people after me must have been dissapointed too with no food or cake left

The best cream tea I've ever had. Nice staff, good food

Very popular tea room in a great setting. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed outside and also owners can use the first few tables inside. There's always dog bowls filled with water and free dog biscuits. Wheelchair access is made possible via a low inclined concrete ramp. Although the outside area is mainly gravel which could be difficult. Outside provides great views of the castle and grounds with the sea in the distance. The outside is south facing so is busy all year round. The tea room offers an array of hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches, cooked food and most importantly, ice cream.

Tearoom used to do fabulous afternoon teas. Went there only to find you now have to give 24 hours notice. Bought sandwiches ( quite nice but like doorstops) ,cream teas ( scones were like concrete) and cakes ( overseer and heavy as lead. What a disappointment! Expensive too. Shall not be returning.

A hidden gem known to locals and recently redesigned by new owners. The food is delicious and plentiful, both breakfast and lunch. There are plenty of seats inside and outside. The Castle grounds are gorgeous. Highly recommend dropping in, taking a stroll along the beach and finishing it off with some food and drinks.

A slightly strange place feels like it was a bolt on to the original building, none the less the staff here are very pleasant and the food is very good. The location is excellent with the ability to take a stole to the beach after your lunch.
