Very well run spot, great homecooked food full of flavour and amazing service from both the owner (at least I guess she is 😅) and the guys serving the tables. The place is small but atmosphere is cosy, menu has some for everyone and more. Not local to the area but I will deffo go back if I happen to be there again.

It's not a case of why would you, more why shouldn't you....I've just finished off the "big breakfast" (a steal at £6.60 including my coffee) and every bite was packed with quality flavours you would normally pay twice the price for. The sausage was plump and juicy, the bacon packed with flavour, the black pudding was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh, the egg was perfectly cooked with a wonderfully bright orange glow (clearly free range and very fresh), the bubble and squeak was perfectly seasoned, the tomato grilled to perfection, the toast......now this was the sticking point. I don't usually eat white bread, and felt odd not being given a choice when I ordered, but it was a lovely thick slice of the finest white bread I can honestly say I've ever tasted. The décor......it's a creation of the feel you get when you walk in the door - homely and personal. The blackboard hearts that cover the walls share anything from jokes to heartwarming messages. A true reflection of the love and passion that goes into making this place the best place you could ever need to go to for breakfast. No photos, as the food was just too good to stop and get a picture. It's no surprise Mums Cafe has such great reviews, I'm just annoyed I didn't come sooner.

Great food and superb service. Leave your smart phone alone; the comments and sayings adorning the walls will keep you amused

We came across this lovely cafe by chance, and I'm so glad we did. Great selection of home- cooked food with very generous portions. I had home- made lasagne and chips, whilst my Mum had egg mayonnaise sandwhich, which was huge! ( and delicious)The staff were very friendly.Would highly recommend, we will definitely pop in again next time we are down thiswY

Ana and the team are fantastic, they can not do enough for you. We always have a small breakfast and a large, everything is cooked well and no grease in sight, fresh cut bread and lovely real butter. Milky coffee is lovely. We always feel so welcome and relaxed in this beautiful little cafe.

Mums cafe is spot on! Had a large breakfast was top notch! Staff were brilliant and *mum* really looked after us! Proper home cooking! Unfortunately we came across you on the last day of our visit otherwise we would have been in every day! Thank you for your hospitality! Your chalk boards and plaques are great!!!

Wow what a great place. Greeted by a lovely welcome, then served a fabulous breakfast by friendly staff. Really great value too. Heartily recommended - sorry I didn't take photos of my food because I was too busy eating it!

Great place, lovely breakfast. Clean. No pictures of food as to busy reading the blackboards!
