Stewarts Garden Centre in Christchurch

Visited the store on Wednesday to purchase some planters. Having spoken to Sharon on the phone prior to the visit she helped me in store. Great customer service,nothing was too much trouble for her. The items were delivered today Friday, I was kept informed of the delivery time throughout. The 2 people delivering were also super efficent and cheerful on a very wet day. Thank you Stewarts.

Good selection of plants and garden accessories. Also a good selection of cards and gifts. The restaurant was quite busy but not packed. Coffee and scones were lovely. Lots of selection of sweet and savoury dishes.

Lovely garden and gift centre. They have a massive cafe, which serves everything from cakes and sandwiches to hot meals. Toilets are large, spacious and always clean.

2021 Christmas tree: it was the first year I had the opportunity to get a real one rather than artificial and online searches were unconvincing so family suggested heading to Stewarts to get a feel for what was available. We visited on 20/11 and were very impressed by the enormous space consumed by a row after row of different types and sizes of tree (mostly Nordmann Fir and some Norway Spruce). I asked a member of staff some basic questions such as how long they should last and was given a wealth of helpful info about them and how to transport & look after them. I hadn't intended to buy one of the spot but I did as I felt I couldn't do any better waiting or going somewhere else. With an excellent selection and very reasonable prices I left with a huge (festive) smile on my face and a 7ft Fir in my passenger seat (just about fits in a saloon with the seat down).By cutting off an inch of the base, resting it in a base overnight and watering it once a day it lasted 5 weeks and only dropped a handful of needles a few times a week. I threw it out 3/1 and it still looked full. See you next year!

They always have a couple of real reindeer at the santa grotto in December. Their Christmas decorations are wonderful but be prepared for the prices. The cafe is usually the best place in town for cake or brunch but its been a bit sparse the last couple of times I've been. Not sure what is going on. Usually I have the custard slice but they don't seem to have whenever I go.

Very nice store and a very nice Christmas display with real reindeer. Seeing the reindeer is free of charge unless you would like to make a small donation in the charity pot.

Went to see Santa and the grotto was fantastic. Also the cakes and coffees there are very good.

We visited yesterday my daughter booked us to see Father Christmas and his reindeer , this is my Granddaughter 1st Christmas she is 4months old. It was a lovely experience including the grotto and Christmas scenes. We had our photos taken by the elves. Father Christmas was so adorable and believable that I told him so !!We had lunch there in the restaurant which is extremely popular, though there was a problem with a coffee machine which stalled the queues; the colleagues were constantly updating new queue customers with the reason for the delay: great customer service.The custard slice cake is HUGE and we got in takeaway box as a treat for later.We Look forward to my daughter and I and my Granddaughter returning next Christmas when she will be as excited about the experience as we were.🎄We will definitely make a habit out of popping there for garden supplies and for lunch too.I recommend the Christmas experience to everyone with children.

Beautifully maintained, healthy plants and a large choice of both necessities and beautiful ornaments and gifts for any garden lover.

Amazing little gem with so many Christmas things! Lovely place to go for garden shopping and Christmas shopping
