I really don't know where to start with how incredible my whole experience was with The Kings Arms. I booked my wedding with them back in 2019 due to get married early April 2020. Through out the planning process the team was extremely helpful and when Lockdown stopped the wedding the venue easily swapped the wedding day, not once but twice! When it actually came to the big weekend the staff were impeccable. Eager to help at all times and were amazing with all my guests. The team was attentive and extremely flexible to any wants or wishes, even changing the table plan and accommodating dietary requirements the day of! The food on the day was amazing. The room we stayed in was beautiful . The venue as a whole made a beautiful day and my husband and I are so glad we picked The Kings. I don't just highly recommend the Kings Arms but insist you book with them, you will not be sorry.

We booked a table for 12 people for my sister's 50th birthday. Service from start to finish was outstanding and I can't recommend this venue too highly. The food was good too. We will be back!

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Top notch staff and everything was to a high standard. We had a room at the front which was a little noisy with traffic in the morning but nothing unexpected. Will be hoping to return again soon

This is a review for the Kings Arms restaurant, not the hotel. We had dinner there last night and I left with very mixed feelings about the experience.Table was booked for 11 people, for 3 parties, for 6pm. The first 2 parties were shown to the bar, while my family was sat at our table. We waited until 6.30 thinking the others were late, before I decided to call my brother-in-law, only to find out that they'd been waiting too (at the bar). In that 30 minutes, we'd been hurried once about our pre order as the chef was eager to get cooking as they were apparently, fully booked. When the mistake (the restaurant's, not ours) was discovered, no apology was given until right at the end, when the male waitstaff offered it. If it were my establishment, I'd have offered a drink free or something, to mollify the customers. That's how you get people to go back. The waitstaff - we were served by a male and a female. The chap was fine, polite and friendly. The female waitstaff gave the impression that serving was beneath her, and she'd rather be elsewhere, not a single smile in the 2 1/2 hours or so we were there. The service makes a huge difference to my dining experience, and yesterday, was hugely let down by this member of your staff. The food - for the most part, the food was very good. The soufflé was outstanding, as were all the mains we had and most of the dessert. The crème brulée was a rather lackadaisical, watery affair, with not much flavour. The vegan brownie was pretty awful, the bitterness needed something creamy (vegan can be creamy) to counter it, not a raspberry sorbet. All in all, a mixed experience, and not something I'd be recommending to anyone.

Booked for a birthday dinner for my husband for last night. Got there early and sat in the lobby area with a drink and were given the menus to look at. The food was amazing, far superior to their sister hotel restaurant the Jetty. The cheese souffle starter was the best. As for the beef brisket and the ham hock, we couldn't fault either, both of us saying ours was the best!! The service was excellent and staff were polite, well dressed and smart. We were too full for dessert but one of the managers bought out a lovely birthday decorated plate of sweet treats while we were paying the bill. Such a lovely thing to do for someone's birthday, other places don't even recognize a birthday even though you've told them when making the booking. We have already recommended the restaurant to friends and family and will certainly plan on returning. We believe your afternoon tea is good so may give that a go. Thank you for a memorable evening and meal

My 4th visit to this hotel in last 2 years,Highly recommended for comfort, service and food, if you like your wine they have a very high standard and wide selection.A beautiful historic establishment with a warm welcoming atmosphere, nip across the road and you have a 15th century gaol complete with thatched roof now used as a cocktail bar, all original features are in place,Hotel prices are very reasonable.

The hotel is very comfortable, our room was large, bright and spotless. Breakfast served in a nice bar. A wonderful lounge cum cocktail bar, all polished glasses and colourful bottles. But it's the people who make this a lovely hotel. The welcome as we arrived, everyone delighted to see and talk to us but wait, I've not seen a cocktail mixologist like ours outside the top hotels in London. Pure theatre. We'll done everyone.

Absolutely perfect! Fantastic huge luxury room, great view of the church and bowling green. We had an excellent dinner and wine, a comfy night rounded off with a great breakfast. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely building with parking opposite the room.

We have never stayed away for Christmas before but due to Covid we are visiting elderly relatives and so we have just enjoyed Christmas at The Kings Harbour Hotel at Christchurch and also enjoyed the complimentary Spa facilities at The Christchurch Harbour Hotel - what a warm friendly and delightful stay! The cheery, Concierge and the Staff really made it special. A quality hotel with excellent discrete yet attentive service where nothing was too much trouble- you could tell they really took pleasure in making us feel looked after. The food was excellent and the various downstairs rooms were all cosy, characterful and very comfortable. My massage was provided by Katie who was a very experienced and skilled masseuse and I left feeling invigorated and my neck longer! The Spa pool, lounge, jacuzzi, sauna, steam and salt room were stylish, relaxing and well maintained. We would definitely stay again and plan to book dinner there on our next visit.I may have the spelling slightly incorrect but a special thanks to Leszerchek the Concierge who was kind, funny and went the extra mile to help us. Thank you!

We had our wedding here and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff were brilliant, food was delicious and attention to detail was superb. I’d especially like to thank Collette, she went above and beyond to make our special day memorable (she is also the nicest lady you’d ever meet!) and the Ops team, very much looking forward to coming back for anniversaries! Thank you again The Kings Arms- The Dunsford’s
