Lovely pub with a really nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and the food was fantastic - good selection for vegans, I can highly recommend the vegan lasagne and the vegan cheesecake, delicious.

This was our second visit. Generous portions and great value. Thank you for a lovely evening out.

Popped in with the family (and dog!) for a midweek meal. The team there were very welcoming, particularly Sam behind the bar. Great food, friendly service and good value. Would definitely recommend 👍

A little while since we stopped here for an impromptu Sunday lunch, but better late than never! We originally arrived at the Oak Inn in the New forest, to our embarrassment, but soon walked through the door to warm welcomes all around. Take note that there are two Oak Inn's in relative close proximity! We were a family of 5, but found that a late booking was very possible! The owner (I think) was mega friendly and made us feel right at home. The servings were very plentiful, and we were well and truly stuffed when we were all done and dusted. The place is relatively rough and ready, but really easy going and comfortable. All the staff were attentive and helpful and couldn't go far enough to make sure we were happy. It won't win Michelin stars, but for the price is right on the money. On a personal note, I was VERY pleased (and astonished) that the pub was serving Laines beer, although sadly at the time was serving Mangolicious. It's on a rotation, so will definitely plan in a return visit when Source is back on!!

A one off stop off.Food fish and chips were very tastyBudding only reason for not 5 star.Very salty on budding over powering favoursBut experience was worth it and a nice point to finish off. P.s they have a lovely parrot inside a large cage which was nice to see .

Beautiful pub in a lovely setting, friendly staff and an appealing menu. Nine of us booked for a birthday Sunday dinner and first impressions was a lovely setting until we all sat down and realised we had no elbow room at all, very cramped and awkward, good job we all like eachother. On the whole the food was very good, apart from the roast potatoes which all of us agreed were just horrible, dry to the point of unedible, not crispy at all, clearly frozen, just spoiled the dinners (which are not cheap at all). Two of us wanted nutroast but they didn't have any and no alternative was offered. The other niggle was the fact that it took an hour to bring our meals out and when they did start rolling out, they trickled out, some of us had to start eating before it got cold. There was also confusion over the gravy and cauliflower cheese that was supposed to come with each meal but we were then told to share between us, simply not enough gravy to go around. It's such a shame, it could have been a great afternoon with great food, but let down with slow service and truly horrible potatoes. For this much money we all expected more.

I used to pop into this village pub once a week after taking a class nearby, and it was always a friendly place to visit. I dropped in whilst passing this week and was pleased to see that it has been recently renovated to a good standard, was very comfortable and welcoming. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the beer was great after so long not going out. Will definitely pop in again. Recommended.

We had a lovely Sunday dinner here. The servers were attentive. The pub had nice decor. Standard roast is £12, or small £7. Will definitely return here.

Great lunch time food in new outdoor garden dining. We had the tortilla wraps, which were quite filling and well cooked. Also ordered a cheeky cheesy chips, naughty!

Lovely meal and very reasonably priced. The owners have gone to great lengths to make a beautiful garden with safe seating areas.
