Lovely food but I called and paid some money off my brothers bill in advance for his birthday with the staff saying they would let him know on arrival.No message was delivered and the bill was given in full.My brother had no idea. Such a shame as it was meant to be a surprise and it took my dad mentioning it that my brother realised (after the meal) I appreciate these things happen but it was a little upsetting that he paid the bill in full without realising his drinks were paid for. Cash was given back to him luckily. Just a shame the message wasn’t given as he’d probably have had a few more bits from the menu.**EDIT**Thank you Justin, I really appreciate your response. My whole family love the food and atmosphere at your establishment. Like I said, it’s no reflection on the food it was more it was a birthday gift (we both have kids and rarely get time to do birthday presents for each other anymore) so it was a shame but again these things happen. It certainly won’t stop us fromReturning to the rising sun. I appreciate you are very busy, it is purely a comment on the payment not being mentioned.He had a lovely evening regardless.

Good food and good service.. the menu is just mouth watering :) there are l plenty of options available to help you decide :)I have been here multiple times and never been disappointed

Most enjoyable. Good service, good quality food. I went for the first time with a friend who recommended it and will go back for more. I particularly liked the open area dining with the sun accompanying and complementing the meal experience.

This place is very busy and we had to try several times to secure a booking. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. We ordered the banquet for 2 people but were very disappointed by the meagre portion sizes. Despite this the food was very tasty but we didn't leave full up.

I don't do reviews but worth it, lovely meal, hot, great timings between courses, tasty, great all round, thank you. Slightly expensive but best meal out for a long time, well done

Lovely food and great atmosphere

There doesn’t appear to be any other way to provide feedback sorry and we’ve had dozens of wonderful experiences at the Rising Sun over nearly two decades, but not last night (Valentines Day 2022). It won’t stop us from returning because it’s so good normally but the visit started badly when we were rang with a reminder for our booking, with the wrong time - we’d booked for 6:30, they’d confirmed this back again but when they called it had suddenly become 6:15, presumably due to trying to fit more tables in. Either way it wasn’t a great hardship but when we were asked for our drinks order before we were sat we knew something odd was going on. Every part of the meal was hurried, one waitress asked if she could take our starter plates while my wife had a fork in her mouth, didn’t wait for an answer so decided to take them anyway, even though there was food on them still. The main courses were in front of us before she’d swallowed the last bite of her starter, and they got a side dish wrong, which they denied. So yeah, fair disappointed, we were out of the place with 25 minutes left of our allotted time, so they’ll have been delighted by that. Very disappointing, as I say it won’t stop us going back but never on a Valentines.

This is a fabulous place. The best Thai meal we have ever had. We had waited a long time to go there and it was most definitely worth it.

Had a delicious meal with my partner here on Saturday. We ordered the royal banquet option for dinner. The food was delicious and filling and we left with some leftovers. Lovely romantic ambience and I like that you have removed the smoking from outside area where people are eating 👌🏼

As good as ever. We've eaten here often and the food is always hot, tasty, and extravagantly portioned. I can't "recommend" it because it would be harder to get a table at one of our favour restaurants.
