bayleaf fine indian cuisine in Cornwall

Not that great tonight. Long wait for takeaway and upon collection very ignorant staff in there 20 mins nobody said a word to us then eventually got the food and the usual dishes we have tasted watered down bland and just not that great. Steer clear to be honest go to bude spice for takeaway

Made me a bespoke fish and spinach dish with no dairy, was delicious. Entire meal was great and the arrive very respectful and attentive. Family friendly

I had travelled from London to Bude for business and had just got to the hotel after a 5 hour drive. Didn't fancy the hotel food so went for a walk and quickly realised everything was shut, including the Bay Leaf. The owners spotting the predicament I was in stopped cleaning up and welcomed me in offering the full menu. Food was amazing, had a selection of starters, Tandoori mixed grill and Keema Naan. Food was hot, came out super quick and the beer was lovely and cold. Conversation was great and the owners were lovely. When I said I was not going to bother them the lady said 'and where are you going to eat? Sit down' which I thought was amazing. Thanks to them both for a lovely welcome and lovely food!!

We were told our food had come to £26 and we arrived back to our holiday lodge to find we had been charged £66 and we rang up for a refund but nobody knew how? We’ve been told the refund has been sent but haven’t received anything yet. Food wasn’t great either. Edit- money received 2 days later

Staff very friendly, service excellent. Ordered different starters and multiple mains and some side dishes. All of it was fantastic as very authentic and flavoursome. Would highly recommend this Indian restaurant and will be using again on our next visit to Bude.

A very busy restaurant! Really delicious curries. Great vegetarian selection, huge nan breads. Front of house were very friendly and attentive, and warned us of delays. Will definitely come again next time we are in Bude.

In Bude for a family holiday and was looking for a place for a sit in curry. A few places to choose from and we settled on the Bayleaf. Really glad we did. Lovely little restaurant with some of the best curry we have tasted (and we have tried a few over the years). Really friendly service and a really tasty Indian style homemade dessert to finish. The only downside - we live 200 miles away so can't eat here more often. Definitely recommend

Lovely evening at this place whilst on our holiday in Cornwall. The staff were so friendly and nice! Had the salmon and sea bass and both were well cooked and tasty. Also very welcoming to our neighbouring tables dog which we appreciated as dog owners. Would definitely recommend if you're in Bude!
