Bean and Scone in Cornwall

Scones were very stale/overbaked unfortunately. May have been an off day but I've had days old scones that were fresher.

Paid £7 to park to specifically come here for a cream tea. Only to arrive, and its closed. They could have at least updated their opening times on here to let people know before they travel.

What a disappointing visit. Arrived at 10:30am, despite advertising an opening time of 10am, and they were closed. I saw a lady inside who came out and said ‘We’ll be open in about 30 mins.’ We left and returned 30 mins later, they were still closed. We waited a little longer.. nothing. So we decided to get coffee elsewhere (even with the limited choices elsewhere in Polperro). Returned an hour later to give their scones a chance. They were open! Woohoo! But then wow, wish we never bothered. The lady was rude, overcharged us, and the scones weren’t even delicious. What an embarrassment and absolute shambles this place is.

Nice little place. £6.50 for cream tea with 2 scones. They were light and tasty, as was the cream and jam. Can sit outside and watch the world go by. Owner very friendly, would happily come again.

It’s a real shame I didn’t manage to take any photos. But this little place is so cute and welcoming. We just sat and had a cold drink and cookie. While people watching. It’s one of those places you could just talk and talk and sit there and just to chill right now. It has outdoor seating and indoors! 😁

Had a lovely cream tea there today. Home made scones lots of jam & cloted cream. Excellent service too.

Brilliant home made scones jam & cream. Brilliant service. Brilliant place for afternoon tea any time 5X recomendation. Hope to call again before we return home.

Absolutely delightful! The best cream tea we’ve ever had and the chap running the tea room was so pleasant and friendly, it really was a great find.

Pleasent friendly service. Lovely cream tea, coffee and scones. So yummy I wanted 2nds.
