Cadgwith Cove Inn Restaurant in Cornwall

The wife saw the Cadgwith Cove Inn on the internet and fancied a meal there. We booked to eat at 18.00 but arrived very early due to earlier plans going amiss. The landlord was great and suggested we eat around 5ish, when the evening chef was due to start. I chose the fish platter the wife had the fish and chips. Both meals were great, the platter was a cold plate of mackerel, crab salad, crab pate and prawns, a salad and chips. Plenty to eat and all very tasty. The wife's fish was hake which she liked and plenty of chips and peas.If there was a down side it would be the parking. We were lucky as we found a single dedicated parking spot on the way down into the village. We saw signs to a carpark but did not see or use it.

Really lovely place. Good food, friendly service. Well worth a walk from Lizard Point.

A hidden gem ! I stayed a few days in low season to do some walking on the Lizard and loved every minute. The rooms are unfussy, clean and warm. Not all have ensuite bathrooms but nor do most of the bedrooms in my house and it was never an issue. The staff from the owners to the "occasional" bar staff are all welcoming and friendly. Food is as you would expect at an active fishing village in Cornwall - fresh and gorgeous. There is a modest-sized menu (always a good sign - massive menu usually equals reheated frozen food) and daily specials depending on what the boats bring in that day. Breakfast is superb. Local people as well as visitors throng the bar and on one of my three nights there was a local group singing sea shanties until late. Cadgwith itself is absolutely beautiful and the walking, wildlife and beaches of the Lizard need no introduction. I can imagine parking in high season would be tricky as Cadgwith is a small village with narrow streets which was there long before the motor car.

Great place, lovely warm atmosphere, really dog friendly, great pint and the fish and chips was great too.

Staying in Ruan Minor so this was our local.The staff were lovely and friendly and the food was fantastic. Watched the Christmas 🎄 lights and retired here for dinner. Specials are lovely and the steak was cooked to perfection.Definitely a must if you are in the area!

Good menu but we only had time to stop for a beer after our walk from The Lizard. Friendly staff. Lovely beer. Sat outside in a covered area. Good shelter.

Idyllic seaside village. It feels like going back to bygone days. Cadgwith Cove Inn is the most amazing place for casual dining. The staff are so very friendly and welcoming. When we were there, countless people arrived without a reservation but the hosts still did their utmost to accommodate them. Plus, the seafood is absolutely incredible. If you want to visit here it is recommended to use Cadgwith car park which is just a few minutes stroll to this quaint village.

Lovely example of a working fishing village. Beautiful walk from the car park which takes you straight to the harbour. Lovely pub. Warning.....take your walking boots, it's quite steep on places.

A lovely little cove, unspoilt and uncommercialised. Beautiful scenery. The car park is a little walk from the village down a small pathway, not suitable for wheelchairs or prams. The pathway takes you through some of the village and is a lovely walk of about 5 - 10 minutes depending how fast you walk. As of September 2021, car parking is £3 per day with no hourly rate. There is a cafe in the village that welcome everyone including dogs.

Great place. Points to note: Parking tight on narrow hilly roads. Rooms smaller than expected. Shared bathroom an experience. No drying room so improvised. Shower could do with soap holder. No shaver charging point. Stair carpet has seen some traffic, could do with a clean. Meals good. Breakfast good but lacking sauces, so again improvised. Be aware that the location is a working fishing port and they start very early.
