If you're after fish it's very tasty and good portions. Any meat dishes feel like a token gesture to appease and appeal to those not overly keen on fish. £12 for one chicken skewer and some Salad was disappointing as a starter, especially in comparison to the portion of prawns as a starter. The chicken was very dry (I should have sent it back really).Appreciate they were short staffed, but didn't get the best feel for a place we were really looking forward to eating at.

Popped in on the way through back to Newquay, such a lovely little restaurant.Food was really good and the staff made such a fuss of Ted (he had the dogs dinner off the menu)The kids enjoyed the ham&cheese toasties, my wife opted for the mackerel salad which was huge 👌👌👌 all in all a great place to visit!

This was a scrumptious little find. Right on a beautiful beach. Having driven for many hours, it was more of a fall upon than planned, but what a great unplan, greeting to table, to service and food, faultless. Beautiful decor, super mouthwatering menu and fab wine, but to TOP it off! Dog friendly with their own Menu for a fiver.I actually witnessed a dog and owner having dinner together, thankfully in the right order...Super food, great price and dead friendly - Go.

My wife and I visited this seafood restaurant during a weekday lunchtime. It was fairly busy despite being mid week and out of season although we did not have to book. The restaurant is in a great location and stylish inside. I'm sure that booking is essential in season. My recollection is that the menu outside did not match the menu provided inside and lobster was not available. The 'Catch of the Day' was pollock rather than haddock and the grilled catch was plaice. There was a dish of mixed seafood but it was described as containing mussels prawns, squid and a rather vague 'white fish.'I chose the seafood linguine (£17) and my wife had the lemon sole on a bed of peas, olives and mash (£18) from the specials menu.I can say that the linguine was well presented with squid, whole prawns and mussels but the squid was really chewy. The sauce was delicious but presented in a lukewarm bowl. My wife enjoyed hers although she did comment that the single fillet was small and even though she has a tiny appetite she was far from full.My overall impression from the menu and food available was that this restaurant is not supplied daily with a variety of freshly caught seafood as one would expect in France but plays safe with squid, mussels, prawns and 'white fish.' This may be more of a criticism of the British apathy with seafood than the restaurant itself.Overall I guess that I was expecting more but 4-stars because I enjoyed what I had and the restaurant benefits from a prime location.

Probably the best meal we had in North Cornwall. Great service, food was delicious and the wine was excellent. All of this in front of the amazing Mawganporth beach, can't wait to go back ❤️

Lovely restaurant we called into on the off chance of a take out dinner. Very friendly and accommodating staff who got us sorted with some drinks (great selection of Tarquin's Gin and local Cider) whilst we waited for some pizza's 🍕 These were lovely and tasty. Recommended.

Stopped by for a morning bite to eat and a coffee after wakling from watergate bay. Had the cornish hash which was absolutely delicious, possibly the best breakfast I've ever had. Lovely to sit outside in the October sun, staff and service were fantastic.

We had a fantastic meal here on the last night of our week long, very sunny camping stay in Cornwall. We hadn’t booked but popped in on the off chance at early tea time and staff were very accommodating and found us a table with some shade out the heat (we had our two young boys with us) Food was delicious and friendly service. A great spot for local fresh catches and watching the world go by (weather permitting!)

Having wanting to eat here for some time and booked well in advance it was really nice. I wasn't amazed tbh and changes that would have made my own experience better was I felt our starters were overcooked and the seafood linguine had small unpeeled prawns covered in sauce so had to unpeel them with knife and fork which took ages for such a small prawn it didn't make much sense to me. Apart from that, location is idyllic, decor is great and it was a lovely atmosphere. The menu sounds lovely which will see me return but I must learn to send food back if not satisfactory.
