We dine in Falmouth very regularly and often at the Chainlocker. Wonderful staff, fantastic ales and wines with amazing food and choice. Tonight the mussels with fries and breads were the best I’ve had in Falmouth and the fish pie special was top notch. Thank you and see you all again very soon.

We happened to end up in the Chain Locker for St Pirans, a Cornish Saint's day, during a sailing trip. What an excellent pub, with live music, friendly and helpful staff and a brilliant atmosphere. For dinner, I had the catch of the day (Hake) which was superb.Looking forward to going there again sometime: despite it being a *long* way from home, it will be worth it!

Superb...food excellent. We opted for the hake on the specials menu and mussels. Excellent value. The staff were fabulous too. So attentive and friendly....I'd highly recommend this restaurant and it has wonderful views of Falmouth waterfront just to add to the experience. *****

·

Great pub with several real ales and a good menu (sensibly limited). Good food all clearly freshly cooked. I heard the chef is changing so hope the new one is as good! We ate there twice in a week.. My partner said the veggie curry was the best he'd ever had and that's a real compliment!

A simple 5*. Both my partner and I are fussy eaters, but the staff answered all of our questions and nothing was too much to ask. We also had a complicated booking but again, the team sorted it out with no issues. The food was great, would highly recommend.

Great central location near the sea. We stopped there twice, once for a quick drink, and again for breakfast. Both times the staff were really friendly and wanted to talk. The breakfast was really good.

Had a beautiful lunch at the Chainlocker.Recommend the Pork Pie and Beer pickled cockles from the snacks, Crab Remick and Shepards Pie Croquette from the Starters and Fish n Chips for Mains but get the curry sauce too.. its amazing.Service was brilliant and a big thankyou to Liv for being our server... Great job.

Don't hesitate to seek out this great place to eat when you are in Falmouth. There is a lunch menu for the bar area and outside and a more formal menu for the dining area upstairs. The staff are very welcoming and friendly - it is this approach from one of the team who was wiping down outside seats after a shower of rain that encouraged us to pick the pub for lunch today. 5 stars for food, friendliness, location and sheer choice of options.

·

Lovely place with a view of the harbour., Staff could not have been more helpful, had the seafood share platter, was amazing, could not fault anything with it ... very tasty, fresh and plenty of it, great value for the money. Excellent service and dogs are allowed.

It could be five stars if the chefs turned up. The staff, ambience, service was on point. And that's considering the floor staff were shipped into the kitchen to look after bookings for food. Maybe we'll come back for the 5 star experience.
