Bought cod and haddock with chips and mushy peas. They were all really good. Fresh fish with crispy batter. There was a queue when I got there but I was served pretty quickly. The shop is tucked away from the main thoroughfare of Padstow but definitely worth looking out for.

Was in the shop Saturday 4-12-21. Had 4 portions of the half fish and chips. Absolutely satisfied 4 hungry people and the young lady serving is lovely. Can't recommend enough it's the best.

Went in there looking for some local fish. The man making the fish was so lovely and friendly. He used fresh haddock and it was lightly battered. Perfect. It was exactly what we were looking for.

The haddock was super fresh, the chips also excellent. My daughter's fish and chips were also excellent with the children's portion. The wait wasn't too long and was worth it. The only major negative point was the presence of a plastic, non-recyclable, fork in the box. Please, change to wooden chip girls or biodegradable forks!

Arriving in Padstow with nowhere booked to eat and not aware that certain places required bookings for takeaway slots we stopped here. Just around the corner from our cottage it was ideal. Delicious fish and chips and value for money.

Fish very fresh, chips a bit dry. Thought it was worth a try with all the good reviews but it was disappointing. Sadly the staff were also very unfriendly and rude. Would try somewhere else next time.

After a 300 mile drive, we couldn't be bothered to cook, so headed out for the nearest chippy. My, we were not disappointed - excellent chips, and superbly fried haddock in quality crispy batter. Well worth the car journey alone!

Had to sample the local fish shop while in padstow. The queue was insane and the service although it was polite was very slow. I get that it's a holiday town which is reflected in the prices but didn't enjoy the fish at all. The portions were adequate and the chips was OK. I have notice all the other 5 star reviews so maybe it was an off day for them.

After speaking to a local shop owner I ask Her to recommend a local chip shop. She recommended Ship Ahoy. OK we had to wait but it was worth it. The batter on the fish was light but not greasy. Chips was lovely cooked. Why go to Rick Stines and pay over the odd prices when you can better fish & chips at a lower price.
