Amazing food, amazing staff, and an amazing hotel with such wonderful view of the Cornish country side. Great range of food and a delicious carvery on a Sunday with top notch ingredients especially the homemade yorkies. I would recommend the hotel and restaurant to everyone. I would advise booking though as this little gem will soon be discovered by more.

Had a lovely meal at the country arms, ruined by the service of Bonnie. When we arrived we asked if we could have a window seat and Bonnie informed us that they were all fully booked (they were currently empty). We enjoyed our food and some drinks and stayed in the restaurant for about 3 hours, the whole time all of the tables were empty. As we left, we asked Bonnie why we couldn’t have a window seat when they were quite clearly all empty for the entire duration of our visit and she replied “they are booked” and walked off. Very blunt and rude individual who really let down the pub and her colleagues. Bonnie needs to learn some customer service skills and how to maybe crack a smile.

Sunday Carvery £14.50 for large plate with soft drink. Good selection of fresh seasonal veg, quality meats… dog friendly pub with seating in and out-doors highly recommended

A lovely welcome for Mother’s Day. We were a party of 7 with our little dog. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Even the dog was given a treat. Thank you for making it a happy Mother’s Day. We will see you again soon.

Lovely warm welcome on a drizzly day. Beautiful clean room. Bed and pillow a little hard for me but ok. Had lunch which was lovely, service really quick. Breakfast, the food was really good. However the waitress didn't seem to want to be there. She stayed behind the bar instead of coming to greet us and shouted over. Asked tea or coffee. Didn't show us a table, didn't offer the cold buffet food. She never mentioned it so we just assumed we could help ourselves. When it came to ordering she didn't ask what we would like, just do you want hot food as if it was too much trouble. I asked if I could have porridge and then smoked salmon and she said i had to have them at the same time. So I didn't bother. The tea was luke warm. Which I think was put into a cold pot which had taken the temperature down. This is a lovely stay which was let down by just one member of staff.

Excellent stay at The County Arms. The room was spacious and clean. The food was great and reasonably priced. Plenty of parking so no stress on arrival and the location was perfect. I would also like to mention that the staff were great and extremely helpful and friendly.

We were a group of 16 ladies celebrating a 40th birthday, it was a last minute booking but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommend.

Had to stay here unexpectedly because my dad went to hospital with a dislocated shoulder. The room was huge and a good priced breakfast too. Beautiful view looking out of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend

Service was excellent, friendly, trained and efficient. Carvery was of superb quality, variety and equally quick. The restaurant was clean and tables really well set with CLEAN water glasses. Its been years since visiting here but what a way to reintroduce ourselves. And the missus paid so all in all, 5 star lunch out. 👌
