Great stop on the Great Flat Lode to warm up, have a cup of tea and some great cake before heading back out and home on the bike. Outside area as well which will be lovely in the warmer weather. It was quite busy and despite our rather ragged wet appearance from our ride we were made to feel very welcome.

Omg…… what a fantastic hidden treasure this place is!!! The food absolutely stunning. The atmosphere is so chilled, extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going back. 100% recommended.

Was working with a disable young lad we were having a picnic outside and the skies open pouring down with rain. Came in as we were getting wet and asked if we could come into finish our picnic and get out of the rain . Told it was OK by a waitress we sat by the main entrance away from everyone. The waitress came up and informed as we would have to buy something. She kindly bought over some water and I bought a tea. A workman/ foreman kindly gave him a map of the mine. I have given three stars because of the actions and compassion of these two people Whoever was in charge I would give 0dur to there ignorant behaviour of this person.

Loved this place. Thought brownie was going to be dry but wasn't. It was delightful. We were served by a woman who has a husky Cross American bulldog. She was lovely, and helpful. The chips with cheese was tasty and well layered. Iced coffee was scummy. Only problem we had was with the wasp aushwitz they had outside. Meant for flies but hundreds of wasps trapped in there. Sad

This is a wonderful place to stop for food or a coffee after a walk on The Great Flat Lode. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent.

I had a delicious bwlly pork sandwich today for £9. I can't fault it at all, but what I really wanted was a slice of the amazing quiche they used to do, with a salad, for about £6. They've done a fantastic job on renovating and refitting this little cafe, but the meals are full main courses and priced as such.

Absolutely fantastic food here with great service. Enough staff to maintain good service even when busy. First time we visited and will definitely be back. The Bao buns were just SOOO tasty! Great coffee and just off the great flat lode so easy to call in while on a walk or cycle. Highly recommend.
