Cubanas Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in Cornwall

Nice food. Should take better notice of reservations booked previously. Run the risk of getting in there and not having a table. Welcoming staff but not enough to deal with all the clients if the house is full.

Food was absolutely gorgeous. Some of the best food I've had in a while. The grilled honey chicken was beautiful and that and the calamari both came with garlic flatbread which were amazing. The burritos were absolutely incredible, the bbq pulled pork being some of the best I've ever had.The atmosphere was great (even though it was quiet as early on a Monday evening), as was the decor, and the staff were friendly.Will definitely be going back here. Food was amazing.

The front of house staff were friendly and very efficient. Food was ok too and portion sizes were large, making it value for money. Good decor and everything was good except the dodgy looking chef bloke with tattoos who simply would not stop staring at us from behind the hotplate the whole time we were there..it was really quite uncomfortable.

So just had a quick read of the reviews and noticed a few bad ones. I have to disagree massively based on my experience. Took my partner out for her birthday and we left very satisfied. We eat out alot and try many places including a certain Mexican restaurant In Newquay which we really didn't enjoy. Cabanas has restored my faith in Mexican food. Staff was really polite and the young chap behind the bar was excellent. Wasn't sure what drink I wanted, he asked me what spirits I liked and made me a French martini, Absolutely outstanding. Food was amazing, everything was done perfect. Genuinely have no complaints. Well done Cabanas and thank you for making our night special. Even left a tip as we was so pleased. WILL BE RETURING.

Had a meal last night which was very good, well presented, hot and very tasty, but the downside to the evening was that my table booking had not been logged so they were not expecting us although they did find us a table, and the table service needs improving greatly, as a thought employ more staff maybe, had to wait quite some time for someone to take our drinks order, then again for our food order, it was also noted that the bar staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves rather than concentrating on their job. We have been once before, when the restaurant was under a different name and had the same problem, hence why we took so long in coming back but clearly these issues remain so no we won't be coming back

Visited for Valentines Day, our third visit here and once again we were not disappointed! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, served within just 15 minutes of sitting down, and the staff are all wonderful. I loved every minute, we will be back again soon.

We went for a birthday party. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were served quickly and attentively throughout the meal. Seven different meals, seven sweets and nothing was left. Great food, well cooked and well presented. A tad expensive so a treat rather than a regular meal, but we are looking forward to going back.

Lovely Mexican restaurant! My meal was delicious! The interior here is amazing, so much to look at and so many wild colours. It really brings to life the Mexican atmosphere! Our waiter was brilliant and full of laughs and our food came out very fast. Overall a lovely experience and would 100% come back again!

Easy parking, spacious restaurant, excellent menu and choice. Food brought to table very quickly and hot. Staff young, very friendly. Great atmosphere and made me feel like l was away on vacation. Very pleased, happy to recommend!
