Daves Diner in Cornwall

Under new management, still has a great atmosphere and staff but the food (chips) have taken a nose dive in quality.

There's great fish and chips all over Britain but you must give these a try. Real quality fish and chips. The absolute best that I've had in a while. Throughly enjoyed them.

Visited today at lunch time, really friendly & helpful staff. Good measures in place to keep everyone safe during covid. Food was quick and amazing quality and feed a family of 5 for under £27 if visit Looe Bay I would highly recommend them.

It was ok ! That's about it.I have a chicken burger which was just a chicken burger and dry roll - no salad or mayo, about as bland as you could make it, I asked twice for lots of salt n vinegar which still never happened.I've been there a lot in the past and went again today as there was a big Q for a new shiny takeaway next door and thought good to support old business.Prob won't do that again though.

We opted for Dave's Diner on the second night of our holiday as everywhere was really busy. At the time we went (during covid restrictions) it was takeaway only and I thought they managed the social distancing very well, being a small establishment. One customer at a time in the building then you go round the corner to wait outside for your food to be ready. The staff were really friendly and the food was really good quality. We had chips later on during the week (from a fish and chip shop) and we all agreed that Dave's Diner did the better chips. They had a good selection on the menu and it was good value for money.

The best fish and chips for miles! After struggling to find a fish and chip shop in the area we stumbled upon Dave's Diner and it turns out my Grandad has been coming here for many years and has never been disappointed! Fish was fresh and the fish cake was delicious, very good price for Looe, I'll definitely be coming back on my next visit!

Dave’s Diner was recommended by a local. It was sooooo good. The batter was crispy and fresh. You could totally taste the good quality of the fish. We ordered both Hake and Cod. Both were good but I preferred the Hake! It had more flavour.We had the Fish and Chips sitting at the harbour with an amazing view... nothing can beat this!

This is a superb chip shop, with a proud heritage serving the local community and visitors to Looe for decades. Excellent fish & chips freshly cooked, plus a good desert menu too. Locally sourced fish on the menu. Cosy eating in restaurant with character, friendly and helpful staff and service. Highly recommended and is a must on our visits to Looe.

Best place to go if you have a dog with you as you can sit just inside the door with your dog and your chips safe from the seagulls... They also have a seated restaurant here too. I recommend the cheesy chips :-)
