Firehouse Bar and Grill in Cornwall

5 stars easy! We come to Firehouse every time we visit St Ives and it’s because of the amazing food, friendly staff and great atmosphere! The food from here is top quality and you really do get the most premium ingredients. The staff are very knowledgeable of the menu and are very approachable too. I had the firehouse chicken burger with cheesy fries and it tasted delicious! Not only this, but all of the portions of the food were huge and there was enough of everything! I also love it when you visit a restaurant and the food is hot and stays hot when you’re eating it! Great food, great cocktails, great service all round! If you are wanting to dine for a nice meal with friendly service come to Firehouse!

Amazing food, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Definitely recommend the belly pork and crackling for starters ate it to quick to take a photo.

A great evening at Firehouse. Food arrived quickly, excellent selection of gins and staff prompt. We arrived for a table at 7:45 and were initially turned away and told to return around 8:15. We did, and a table was available. Pizzas were thin and tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

On a recent visit to St.Ives we popped in here for lunch as the last time we were here in September we couldn’t get a table!On the whole a good experience, we both had Fillet which was extremely tasty (as it should be!). A little cheeky to find fries are extra, I personally think when paying circa £24 for a steak it wouldn’t hurt to include fries/chips then maybe some upgrades on offer to make more money that way.

Really nice staff. The only slight niggle I have is I think the chips should be proper chips not fries. Fish was lovely I would have ordered something else if I knew about the fries.

Yeah not bad, amazing views over the harbour while you eat. The food was good and the staff friendly. Great afternoon.

Ate here twice, once in the afternoon, we ate downstairs and once in the evening, when we ate upstairs. I had steak both times as was cooked just as I like it, medium well without being chared. In the afternoon the wine and beer glasses were chilled which was really good. Didn't try any but there were a few cocktails I liked the sound of. It's a really nice looking place and very clean. The staff are also very friendly.

We had a nice meal at the Firehouse, however the evening we visited the ovens weren’t working so the rotisserie chickens and pizzas were unavailable to order. Whilst this was not the restaurants fault, they could have provided a courtesy call to customers with advanced bookings. As the restaurant is largely a bar and grill, the remaining options were either steak, burgers or fish. That being said the mackerel pate and pork belly starters were really tasty and the sea bass main with hollandaise was also nice. The burgers were good if not a little dry. Fairly good value meal overall.

Got a last minute table here and enjoyed it. The burger was good quality meat however slightly overcooked and a little dry.Pizza was by far the best thing we had and the brownies are really good.Could have been a little cheaper but overall a good eat.

Firehouse is always on our list of places to eat out at when visiting St Ives, Cornwall.We have been coming for many years.On a couple of occasions we have been let down with food quality & lack of food available but do like to give them a second chance each time we are in St Ives. This evening was lovely. We were sat in the window with plenty of space & air, not feeling cramped in.A steak was ordered , which in the past has been poor in quality but very pleased we gave it another try, as was perfect, that great Firehouse grill taste & flavour.
