Freshly made to order, incredible portions and super super tasty. 3 years and a pandemic has definitely not affected the quality of Francines Fish & Chips.

I had fish & chips at Francines & I have to say that both were excellent.! I think that they cook food to order but I didn't have to wait too long. The only downside was the price of £10.50. This is the most expensive fish & chips that I have ever had & I can get the same thing back home for £6.00, even after the recent price increases. Other than that I would have given them 5 stars.

Great chippy, very good portion sizes, we ordered the small cod and chips and the cod for small was a good size and you got a bag of chips. Highly recommend and good prices too.

There portions are massive! Even the child's portion is good for most adults. The quality is good and the service is efficient

My local go to chippy and I wouldn’t use anywhere else. Food is delicious, especially the battered sausages, very generous portions and excellent value for money. Keep up the good work.

After arriving home find out only got kids order. Missing 2 regular cods. Calling them nobody answering the phone. Joke. Chips were full of oil. Can not say anything about the cod cos I never got it. £26 for 6 cod bites and two bags full of oily chips. Before You leave the shop check your orders!

Good chippy! Get your moneys worth. We're a family of 4, we have a large chips regular cod, small cod, sausage in batter, large peas and a mild curry sauce, comes to around £20.Large cod gets shared with our toddler.Cod is nice and meaty, sausages are decent, they also do a good burger with or without salad (salad contains cucumber which is weird on a burger mind) and savaloy if you fancy.Always a queue outside which is a testament to their quality. You can just turn up, call ahead or use their new website to order, they don't prepare your food until you get there anyway so you will still have to wait.Wait times aren't too bad, they have a lot of staff. This is our regular chippy, we have used others in the town but found they are inconsistent with their quality and service standards.I've given it 4 stars because their old app crashed and lost a free bag of chips I'd earned, I'm petty like that.

Fantastically well organised system for walk-ins and those who had pre-paid online. Very fresh, crisp haddock which were cooked to order. Kids enjoyed their scampy/chicken chunks (nuggets) /cheesy chips. Big chip portions...for us, one portion would have been enough for 2-3 of us, but they were good and we kept nibbling!

Recently switched to using this chippy. The food is excellent. Beautiful cod cooked to perfection with crisp and thick batter. Chip portions are huge - 2 portions is enough for 2 adults, 1 teen and & an under 10. Queueing system is very, very organised and Covid safe, ensuring staff and customers are socially distanced. Now I know why this place is always busy. You do have to wait at popular times, but these are reasonable. You can even phone ahead to "plaice" your order in advance. 😁
