Halfway House in Cornwall

Travelling from Cornwall back to Devon and so pleased we stopped at Halfway House. Great food, service and environment. Accommodating without the need to book. Specials menu with something for everyone. Nice atmosphere and staff friendly and attentive Will definitely be returning

Felt like a good roast so popped in and they had room for the two of us. The service was first class and the food was even better. We will definitely be going back. Although local we had never been before but will make up for that .

Really decent food at this welcoming Cornish pub.The staff were friendly and attentive. There was plenty of food choices with generous portions offering real value for money.My photo shows one of the specials which was Pork Loin which was so tasty.Finally, the pint of Tribute I had was served as real ale should be.

Friendly staff from the offset. Prices for food and drink very reasonable. The beer garden was beautiful with scenic views and better still the sun was beaming. Food is proper pub grub. Which was well cooked and enjoyed. Definitely would come again

We had a smashing Sunday meal as a family. The food was really good, my son enjoyed his lasagne and hubby and I enjoyed the roast. Location easy to find.

I've lived near here for 15 years. I can't count the number of times I've driven past and never popped in. Until today. We thought, shall we, shan't we? If we never go in we'll never know what it's like. Well, we had a lovely reception by the staff who did everything they could to adapt the meals to our dietary requirements.Fantastic Sunday roast.We shall be back.

We live local and have been here several times for a meal. We have enjoyed each visit.The food is delicious and the staff are friendly.I would highly recommend.

Good quality eveing meals in casual pub atmosphere and reasonably priced. Can become a regularly visited local venue if you don't feel like cooking at home.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Comfortable seating. Our large party all had plenty of table space which is always appreciated. We all had the roast and I would highly recommend, delicious and plenty of tasty veg.

We phoned about 30 minutes before for a spur of the moment meal and they were more than happy to accommodate the two people that were serving us gave the best service I could have asked for and were very attentive to our every needs. The food was amazing and freshly cooked - it's a shame I didn't have room for dessert. I will 100% be recommending this place to anyone that asks for somewhere to go
