Food was horrible! I asked for grilled sardines and got fried sardines with no taste. Makes me wonder if they washed the food with soap. My friends asked for squid and it was also horrible. How can you remove any flavour from something so easy to cook? Even the chips weren't great! My first time in St. Ives and I had the worst experience possible. Tinned fish for me if I ever go back!

Some bizarre reviews on here...small portions are you serious? Huge cod and chips and got to be one of the nicest I ever tasted. Partner had mussles and chips and loved it. Service was great and really friendly, want to go again and we just went 2 days ago!

I arrived in St Ives on Saturday afternoon last and after walking around the relatively quiet town decided to eat in at the Harbour fish and chip restaurant. It was a quiet time and after placing my order for Cod ,chips, minted peas and a cup of tea ,was rather looking forward to a treat. The staff seemed pleasant and polite and before long a rather appetising plate appeared before me. The fish was cooked to perfection BUT the chips were stone cold! The tea was nice and hot and feeling rather hungry,I tucked in to the the best half of the meal. I paid over my £18 but left no tip.

This was the best fish & chips we've ever had, both my friend and I. We had the grilled lemon sole and it was amazing, as were the chips which as they say, they're sourced locally and cut on the premises - and you can tell. The freshly made sweet potato crisps were fantastic. Excellent service too, premises were clean. As you can see, I ate everything on the plate, it was that good! Highly recommend!

Quite possibly the best fish and chips I have EVER had!Amazing food, staff are friendly and clearly enjoy working here.Home made tartar sauce tops off the battered seabass and chips lovely.Battered scallops were done perfectly! Will return here next time we're in Cornwall.

The best seafood we’ve ever eaten!!! It’s in a really picturesque place and all I can say is we visited over a year ago and STILL talk about it. You just have to look at the food we had, it was delicious. Cannot recommend it enough!!! 🐟🐠🎣🐡🍤🍣💙

Absolutely amazing! We had scampi and chips, mussels, and a couple of Cornish sausages, washed down with Cornish lager, and all of them were the nicest we've ever had!The lager is award winning, and very light and fresh, it went perfectly with the food. All the food was very reasonably priced, it was a relaxed (yet high quality) dining experience with "chippie" prices!Perhaps to be expected, but I loved the fact that the chips' potatoes, the fish, the sausages, the beer, were ALL local. Finally, the staff were lovely, very friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about the dishes. Can't recommend enough, definitely going again asap!

Cute place and was so happy to get a table. The server was very friendly. We got the seafood to share as an appetizer. The shrimp were in a tempura or beer batter and were crispy and light. The calamari was in maybe a cornmeal batter and were sticks and not rings. It was good not great. The dips tasted mainly like Mayo and could have used some more flavor (IMO). I got the scampi which was okay but not what I expected. Fries were crispy and hot.I do appreciate the take away area offering so many items.

Called up. Spoke to a lady to reserve a table for my dads birthday. Was told 8.30 to 9pm should be a good time to arrive as they don’t do reservations. It will be quieter. 1st come 1st serve. We arrived at 8.30pm only to be told they are not taking anymore people. We had travelled all the way from london. After speaking to the lady in charge we finally got seated and then the experience became so much nicer. We were told we couldn’t have anything grilled but we only wanted battered fish anyway. The service was good. The food was really nice. The batter on the fish was so crispy. Thank you.

Very disappointed with the whole experience of eating in at the harbour fish and chip shop.Very small piece of cod (more like a childrens size protion) with very few chips, batter was nice and light tasting however the fish wasn't overly nice tasting considering its fresh. Cod alone was £7.25 which is very expensive for that size for fish alone and the chips was £3.25 for literally a handful of chips. The curry sauce was absolutely disgusting didn't taste like curry sauce at all and was more like a tikka flavouring, 1 it definitely wasn't homemade and 2 it definitely came from a jar.I have attached proof of purchase what exactly we ordered and how much it all was. £47.65 for a eat in fish and chip meal is a bit excessive!!I would not recommend this place, definitely not for a family.
