Harbour Lights Restaurant in Cornwall

In life you just go around aimless and lost, turbulent seas bash against your brains, we are all weary sailers trudging the ocean but sometimes on a clear night in the far far distance you see a twinkle starboard, hope wrapped in paper, fish and chips for the soul, saved by the harbour lights.Ps also make an amazing vegan tofu fish.

Desperately wanted to give more, but it just didn't tick all the boxes unfortunately.The staff were great; friendly, helpful and welcoming - especially the ex-cruise ship newbie (sorry I didn't get your name).The decor is nicely done and the view is great.The restaurant is dog friendly (always a bonus!)The special of lemon sole was fab, albeit the portion was rather too generous for me, but the chips were just average (& not a very good average at that).A relatively simple change that would make a big difference would be better quality napkins.

We had the meal deal.. chips, fish and mushy peas, bread and butter and pot of tea.. definitely one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.. the two staff members who served us were brilliant, friendly, efficient and looked after us very well indeed.

Joined family for a meal on mother's day at harbour lights, was not happy the fish was so small compared to my visit before pandemic also ordered a salad with my fish which amounted to some lettuce leaves a tomato and about 4 slices of cucumber which cost £13.95. We also ordered drinks two glasses came out dirty(grease on one and lipstick on the other was not impressed. The family all said the same cooked very nicely but portions didn't not warrant those prices most disappointed 😑

Best fish and chips I've had in ages .Staff very nice and helpful.

Nice meal for two little children who loved the bucket and spade and the delecious fish and chips with peas. Dairy-free was of key importance to us but sadly no gluten-free options other than chips for one of the adults 😢. The staff where great and helped to make the meal a happy memory for the visitors to our lovely Falmouth.

Amazing fish and chips!! At a good price as well. I can see why this place is award winning. Crispy yet not too oily which is a tricky balance. Would highly recommend. Don’t offer gluten free though.

Wow.....I have never had fish and chips like this...super light batter, very fresh fish but most importantly just not over fried. Beautiful Cornish potato chips and you MUST order the curry sauce to go with it. They use a Japanese style curry sauce. The perfect pairing.....

One of the best fish and chips I've had. Portions are big so even though they offer unlimited chip refills I don't think many feel the need to use it. Onion rings also came in a very hearty portion size. Service was very friendly and dessert was also pretty good but definitely not the highlight of the meal - that was the crispy fish!
