Harbour Restaurant at The Metropole Hotel in Cornwall

Restaurant confirmed day before then cancelled on the day giving 4 hours notice. Padstow has a lot of choices food wise and we’ll be using them in the future.

Bit of a hidden gem! Beautiful setting, lovely good, great service. Highly recommended!

Great food - but as pointed out to the restaurant “Catch of the Day” is hardly “farmed” Salmon… I think you need to change your supplier if this is the best they have to offer in such a “fish capital “ of the world!

Gorgeous setting, very professional service and good food. The lemon meringue cheesecake and Eton mess puddings we’re both amazing!

The service matches the views- great!We were staying at the hotel, on a short break, and after checking in we popped into the bar area, first to take in the views and to have a snack. Menu is interesting my wife went for the sausage sandwich, while I went for toasty with a side of chips and a glass of wine. This was a great experience, even if we were missing the vinegar, due to an accident in the hotel that morning where they has spilled the 5 gallon bottle. Breakfast the following morning (included in our room rate) was good mix of continental and English options.

We had a lovely very tasty meal, each selecting four different dishes and it was a lovely night. Unfortunately, one of our party was very ill the next day & two others were quite bad. I rang the hotel to let them know of the issue & I received a rather awful response, including a threat to sue me for liable. After the discussion returned to normality they said they would ring me back & over 1 week later they still have not responded to me. I will not be going back. They suggested it could have been cross contamination!
