Haveners Fish & Chip Shop in Cornwall

This was a dinner booking,we had to book in person as the website said full. Anyway service was good,very friendly, the restaurant was nice and fairly smart. The food was very nice ,scallops were very nice as starter. Then we had burger with cheese and bacon,it was ok. Nothing bad about it slightly over cooked for me but it was fine. My wife had butternut squash curry and she loved it. So worth a visit,but may need to book.

Visited to celebrate daughter Jenni's birthday. Six family members ages varying from 6 to 85. As always from our experience staff were friendly, caring and very efficient. Also as always the food was excellent and enjoyed by all.

Not as good as it used to be as a very limited menu now. Fish & chips chosen, but regretted as batter over cooked and chips too chunky. Lovely mushy peas with a hint of mint and good tartar sauce. Decent wine. Staff helpful and friendly. Good ambience and lovely estuary views.

Fantastic location, clean and smart, staff pleasant, however we popped in Sat morning and they said they only have drinks and cake, which was ok however no menu, so you had to guess what you wanted without knowing the price of anything, then you had to pay upfront before you even got anything, strange first time I’ve ever experienced this. But I will return and hopefully they will have menus.

Situated on the river, it's ideal for keeping an eye out for the Spanish Armada. Henry VIII also realised this, and a popular place with the seagulls too, as they look in from the railings. It's best to book. Especially if you're a seagull.

Excellent food and really good service. We were looking for somewhere that was dog friendly while on holiday and it was perfect. Fully recommend, great meal and a lovely atmosphere.

Went last week/ week before (roughly) lovely food and lovely view of river Fowey. We didn’t book a table but staff got us one straight away with no fuss which was fab!! , speedy service, did check-backs, staff seemed experienced as you don’t have to ask for anything they just know when to come over which was fab, decor was lovely and furniture was comfy even the napkins felt nicer than other brewery pubs definitely must be a tourist favourite - don’t really write reviews unless a place is very very good and this place is definitely worth a visit!! but can imagine they get very busy so booking a table is probably best for next time !! (Went at lunch time during hail ☔️ So was very happy to be able to get a table 😅) our thanks to haveners !! :)

Popped in for coffee and cake. Dog and human friendly. Staff were welcoming, coffee and cake was lovely. Would have returned for dinner but they were fully booked. The inside was a nice modern bistro style, with views out over the estuary. Located next to the Polruan passenger ferry landing.

Such a lovely place. Great staff, amazing gluten free fish n chips, best ever. Nice view over estuary. Warm. Welcoming.
