Hell Bay in Cornwall

Expensive but value for money. Excellent location on Bryher, well away from the hurley burley of life. Bags collected and delivered to the ferry or to the Heliport on nearby Tresco. Low rise apartments with patios or balconies. We'll furnished, spacious and comfortable rooms. Large bar / lounge. Patio seating behind glass screen overlooking lake. Two dining adjacent areas.Buffet and cooked breakfast (ask for a flat white, cappuccino or similar rather than the bog standard breakfast coffee!). Lunches available and good evening menus. Breakfast and evening meal is pretty much all residents as there is not much alternative accommodation on the island.Crab sandwiches can be had for half the price a 10 minute walk away at Island Fish cafe near the new jetty. Fudge can be bought quite a lot cheater than in the reception shop but a 5 minute walk away. That said, you probably won't be there if you want to save money!Bryher can be walked around in a couple of hours. Lots of prehistory, birds and wild seas. Neighbouring islands well served by regular ferries which are tide dependant - and make sure you go to the right quay (applies to most of the islands!)

Top notch in every way. The best Hotel I have stayed in in the UK for a very long time. Great suite, excellent food, beautiful location, welcoming staff and Bryher is a gem to explore. Most highly recommended.

We called in for lunch but didn't stay at the hotel which looked very nice. This is another great place for a pint with a view. I had a really nice crab sandwich made with local 🦀.

Mixed experiences of the Bar at the hotel.I brought my family here for lunch and it was fantastic. The food was really great, lovely fish and chips and burgers, and the service was excellent. For dessert they had a chocolate Napoleon that was incredible, and the kids had ice creams in single serving tubs from Troytown. Sounds like a silly thing to mention but the cutlery was oddly satisfying.We came back the next afternoon after a trip to the nearby Rushy Bay for ice cream and drinks. The bar war not attended when we arrived as the waitress was busy taking drinks to a table outside. When she came back she said she could serve us drinks but not ice cream as there were no chefs working. I asked why it required a chef to take a single serving tub of ice cream out of the freezer, was told she wasn't allowed to leave the bar unattended. We left disappointed.

Love coming here, whether it is for a posh full meal, or just a gin and tonic or a coffee. They are always friendly and welcoming, especially to dogs!

We had lunch today it was the best steak we have eaten anyway were. The staff were very nice and really helpful. Absolutely amazing place.

Well appointed room with fantastic views. Food could not be bettered, beautifully presented and full of wonderful flavours. Friendly attentive staff. A memorable experience.

The coffee was the best I've ever tasted, the food was wonderful without being painfully expensive, which you might have expected in these surroundings. The views were absolutely spectacular. The loos were luxurious. The staff, friendly and accommodating.

Visited last year and this. Food consistently excellent and the setting speaks for itself. A great range of seafood dishes, all highly rated within our party. Staff are very good and attentive, looking forward to our next visit.
