Helston Grill in Cornwall

I used to use helston grill as the chips were actually amazing, the last 2 times I've been, the chips were cold and soggy and the donor meat was barely warm. Not great!!

As a Helston local we have often used Helston grill and always found them to provide really good service and food. Unfortunately it seems recent standards have dropped. My partner and me ordered a take away delivery (Saturday 29/01/22 around 18.30) two small Chicken Shish Kebabs and cheesy chips. The kebabs were under portioned (again this seems to be a recent trend), the pitas hadn't been warmed (put on the grill) and seemed stale, and the salad consisted of a tiny amount of lettuce, and a few small bits of tomato and cucumber with a lack of sauce on both. Finally the chips were only just about warm and were soggy. Again, we don't normally complain but we know how good there kebabs etc have been in the past so we have been disappointed recently.

Use to go regular until we moved 7 years ago ,now back in helston nothing has changed excellent food.great staff.

The chips had been cooked at least twice maybe even 3 timesAnd the chicken wings was soooooo chewy I don't understand how you make chicken wings chewyI've eaten so ruff food form some suspicious places but this place takes the .....One of the chicken kebabs still had blood in it and the salad looked like McDonald's had thrown it out

Food good as always easy to order online and a good speedy delivery.

Food was great, not had a chicken doner for ages. Was spot on

Halal food affordable rates and magical food , Alhamdulillah.

I have spent the last week working as a locum pharmacist in Helston, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere halal to eat.Thankfully, I was able to find Helston grill, it is owned by people of Turkish ethnic origin, the owners are Muslim themselves, they assured me the food was halal and were honestly so nice and genuine. They treated me really well, incredibly friendly.I would often get 2-3 skewers of chicken with pitta bread. It was genuinely delicious. The pizza was quite good too.I highly recommend Helston Grill, particularly if you would like halal food.

My mixed kebab was not mixed. The chips were so hard they hurt my teeth. The chilli sauce was weak and there wasn't enough. In fairness the Donna meat was good. But I wouldn't know about the chicken as they failed to put it in. Overall, not a place I would go back to. Really disappointing. I was so looking forward to a good mixed kebabtonight and I could have spent the 7.90 much better

A local landmark. Friendly service and good value food. Open late. Sometimes only a kebab will do. Lots more on the menu e.g. pizza, chicken, chips. Great chilli sauce!
