Heron Inn in Cornwall

Great outdoor seating area overlooking the River. I had a burger and chips and was cooked to perfection. Real thick cut chips as well. Well worth a visit.

Good food, generous portions. Looked after my wife's gluten free diet. Lovely views when sat outside.

First restaurant we went to when we arrived in the area. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, food was great. Lovely place to visit with children. Fish of the day was really tasty. Would definitely go back

1st visit to the heron Inn service was very good lovely lady called Kate very helpful and charming lady regarding the food it was ok presentation was not all that good for a roast should all come on the same plate all veg potatoes meat etc price was £14.95 for large was ok but maybe a bit more for the money but would still recommend a visit to the heron Inn

We had lunch with friends today.The food was lovely,hot and good value.Quick service and smiley staff. Highly recommend it. Not a lot of parking, so park in the carpark in Malpas park and walk.

Parking can be difficult.Update 5/07/2021:I’ve been lucky enough to be able to return to Cornwall in 2021 and I must say the Heron Inn is still as good as I remembered it.The menu has changed a bit and the quality of the food remains consistently high as ever. The menu isn’t sophisticated but it is varied, there is plenty of choice and it is extremely well done, in my opinion. The chef is quite clearly very skilled.Staff are really friendly and work really hard to make you feel welcome.The location, overlooking the river, is great. Parking can be difficult but that’s just a minor inconvenience that goes with the quiet village location. Ji
