Highlanes Fish and Chips, Hayle in Cornwall

Amazing dinner for the family tonight from Highlanes. The fish is delicious, batter very tasty and the chips are cooked perfectly. My wife had scampi which she said was the best she’s had! 100% will return when back on holiday down here again next year!

Love getting fish and chips at Highlanes!Can only speak for the cod and chips as all I've had from there, but always well cooked, large portions and really good curry sauce too!Sometimes there is a queue but to me that just tells you how good it is, and it's never a very long wait anyway. Worth every minute!

Fantastic chip shop I've been here twice now. Parking is a bit chaotic probably best to park nearby and walk. You won't be disappointed food is always delicious and hot. Friendly staff.

Extremely disappointed. We went here based on the positive reviews, which I don’t think are true. The fish was wrapped in so much paper and all of the batter was stuck on the paper, ended up having bare fish.Never mind having crispy batter, there was no batter at all. Plenty of other fish and chips places in Hayle. Avoid this place! See picture.

The fried fish is too cooked, the fish itself is very delicious, and the time should be more accurate, the curry sauce ,,, the fries are also delicious

Busy here for good reason. Well cooked fish and chips and friendly people. Pre order or call in but if you're in a hurry best to know you will have a bit of a wait. We'll worth it though as all cooked fresh to order and it's not long to get good food.

We came here based on their reviews alone. Beautiful fish and chips! So tasty! Nothing more needs to be said, faultless. Would definitely come back.

I’ve been chasing the best fish and chips I can find since moving to the UK 2 years ago and this is it. I got the XL haddock and chips. Not too greasy, and didn’t require any extra salt or vinegar either. I bought extra vinegar because I usually have to add more, but not this time! It was perfect. There was about a 15 minute wait due to about 10 people ahead of us, and a local told me I came to the best chippy around. Locals always know best.

Honestly this is probably one of the best fish and chips I've had other than one time where I had some in coastal town called Beer. Portions are huge, fish tastes amazing, nothings to greasy. Since discovering this place Ive been here 2 nights out of 3.

On holiday in Cornwall and have had fish and chips 3 nights out of 7!! Fantastic food, generous portion sizes, good value and friendly and helpful staff. Will return next year!
